We made it through the winter sports season. It always seems to be the longest one. I really enjoy it, but the days and evenings in the gym seem to drag on. Again, I enjoy the winter season. The girls basketball season came to a close this past weekend. There were three RPAC teams competing at the state tournament: Maywood-Hayes Center and Arapahoe in Class D1 and Dundy County Stratton in D2. Mission Accomplished: Dundy County Stratton Earns Their First-Ever Girls State Basketball Championship
On Saturday, March 7th, 2026, the #1 seed in Class D2, Dundy County Stratton, faced the #6 seed, Wynot, at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The teams were battling for the NSAA State Championship. Dundy County Stratton was looking to clinch its first state championship title, having finished runner-up in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
