On Tuesday, April 1st, the Weather was a bit of an April Fools Joke from Nebraska. In the morning, 40 degrees and windy. In the afternoon, in the 60's and minimal wind. It felt like two different days. Nonetheless, it was a good day of golf, and we saw a number of players do well at the Cambridge Invite.

Hi-Line


Hi-Line finished as runners-up with a team score of 358. Collin Shutts led the Bulls with an 89 and finished 11th, Hudson Weeder shot an 89 and placed 13th, Gavin Tilson took 14th with a 90, and Zach Whittaker placed 15th with a 90.


Arapahoe


The Warriors had a really solid day finishing 3rd with a 376 is a solid start. Briggs Hill placed 8th with an 88, Chris Hermes finished 12th with an 89, AJ Roush finished 29th with a 98, and Eli Shafer finished 36th with a 101.




Alma


The Cards tied for 4th with a 383. William VanBoening finished 5th with an 88. Crew Bennett finished 21st with a 94, Grady Faimon was 32nd with a 100, and Titus Epp went 35th with a 101.


Hitchcock County


The Falcons finished 6th with a 388. Jack Baker finished 4th with an 87. Brayden Melchert took 18th with a 93, Cale Graham finished 38th with a 102, and Mason Schilke finished 44th with a 106.




Cambridge


The Trojans took 7th with a 398. Micah Gerlach finished 2nd with an 82. He went to a playoff against Tyson Essex, they both parred the first hole, Essex parred the second, and Gerlach had a bogey. It was a great effort.


Maverick Webb finished 24th with a 96, Carter Shoemaker finished 49th with a 107, and Tayten Koeppen finished 64th with a 113.


We caught up with Gerlach after the meet.









Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers finished 10th as a team with a 421. Dante Horner finished 9th with an 88. Austin Sydow finished 50th with a 107, Owen Matthews took 62nd with a 113, Jack Johnson finished 63rd with a 113.


Southern Valley


The Eagles placed 13th with a 430. Tylor Grove finished 27th with a 97, Jace Hammond had 107 for 48th, Xander Sherwood finished 58th with a 110, and Chase Hamilton took 74th with a 116.




Maywood-Hayes Center


MHC finished 14th with a 448. The Wolves' top four scorers were Jaxson Anders 56th with a 109, Hunter Koetter 57th, with a 110, Landen Littrel 67th with a 114, and Oliver Anders a 115 to finish 73rd.


Southwest


The Roughriders finished 15th with a 464. Houston Billeter had an excellent day with a 3rd place finish and an 84. Dylan Cornwell finished 81st with a 124, Dricen Springer took 84th with a 126, and Alex Lashley finished 84th with a 126.




Bertrand


Bertrand finished 16th with a 478. Quentin Mumm took 37th with a 101. Payton Way finished 51st with a 107, August Nelson took 90th with a 131, and Dylan Hock took 93rd with a 139.


Medicine Valley


Medicine Valley took 17th with a 491. Tyce Pate finished 72nd with a 115, Brody Senff took 80th with a 122, Kevin Bantam took 83rd with a 125, and Kelb Einspahr had a 129 and finished 87th.
