Alma Wins Team Title, Jack Baker of Hitchcock County the Individual Champ for a Second Straight Year

On Thursday, May 1st, the RPAC Golf Invite took place at Arrowhead Meadows Golf Course in Curtis, hosted by Maywood-Hayes Center. The golfers again had excellent weather to play in, 70s and minimal winds. All in all, it was a great day for golf.
Alma was the team title winner with a 343, and all five of their golfers took home medals. This is Alma's 9th RPAC Title, and their first since 2022. From 2008 to 2013, they won six straight, and they had another one in 2019.
Jack Baker of Hitchcock County was the individual winner with a 71. His 2nd straight RPAC Title, and Hitchcock County's third straight individual to win the title.

How about those Cardinals? All five of their golfers medaled and shot 90 or under. William VanBoening took 2nd with a 78, Mason Gesick shot an 87 and took 8th, Crew Bennett took 12th with an 89, Titus Epp finished 14th wth an 89, and Grady Faimon shot a 90 and took 15th.

Hi-Line
Hi-Line took 2nd with a 358. The Bulls had two golfers earn medals as Zach Whittake took 10th with an 87, and Parker Schutz shot an 89, taking 13th. Hudson Weeder and Gavin Tilson each shot a 91 and finished T-16th. Collin Shutts had a 93. A really nice first invite as members of the RPAC.
Sutherland
The Sailors finished 3rd with a 376. Ryker Copeland shot an 86 and took 7th, Grady Dempcy finished 9th with an 87, Easton Smith shot a 101 and finished T-31st, Keaton Miller shot a 102 and finished T-35th, and Tegan Fitzpatrick shot a 112 and finished T-47th. Same for Sutherland, their first invite as a member of the RPAC was solid.
Hitchcock County
The Falcons finished 4th with a score of 378. Jack Baker won is 2nd straight Individual RPAC Title with a 71. The 2022 RPAC Champ, Brayden Melchert, took 4th with an 80, Mason Schilke shot a 110 and finished 45th, Cale Graham shot a 117 and finished T-53rd, Karson Hubl shot a 155 and finished 68th.

Arapahoe
The Warriors finished tied for 5th with a 388. Chris Hermes finished 11th with an 87, Eli Shafer took 25th with a 96, Briggs Hill shot a 101 and finished T-31st, AJ Roush was T-38th with a 104, and Taydem Zodrow shot a 123 and finished T-60th.
Cambridge
The Trojans tied for 5th with a 388. Micah Gerlach finished 6th with an 81. Tayten Koeppen shot a 101 and finished T-31st, Carter Shoemaker T-35th and shot a 102, Maverick Webb shot a 104 and T-38th, and Graham Shoemaker took 52nd with a 116.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers finished 7th with a 389. Dante Horner kept up his strong play with a 78 and finished 3rd. Owen Mathews took 26th with a 99, Austin Sydow took T-27th with a 100, Jack Johnson finished T-47th with a 112, and Bree Lutz finished 67th with a 151.
Paxton
Paxton finished 8th with a 403. Tristan Hebblethwaite finished T-22nd with a 95, Ethan Hardin and Wyatt Walker shot a 100, and took T-27th. Gauge Florom shot a 108 and finished T-43rd. Griffin Perlinger shot a 120 and finished T-56th.
Southern Valley
The Eagles took 9th with a 412. Jace Hammond shot a 93 and finished T-19th, Xander Sherwood took 21st with a 94. Chase Hamilton shot a 108 and finished T-43rd, Jacob Rice shot a 117 and T-53rd, and Tylor Grove T-56th shot a 120.
Southwest
The Roughriders placed 10th with a 412. Houston Billeter took 5th with an 80. Dylan Cornwell shot a 105 and finished T-41st. Breyer Lamp finished T-56th with a 120, Alex Lashley finished 62nd with a 124, and Bricen Springer finished 66th with a 136.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The Wolves finished with a 431 and took 11th. Jaxson Anders placed 37th with a 103, Landen Littrel placed T-41st with a 105, Olliver Anders placed 46th with a 11, Hunter Koetter shot a 112 and T-47th, and Grady Erickson shot a 118 and finished 55th.
Medicine Valley
The Raiders finished 12th with a 435. Tyce Pate shot a 95 and T-22nd, Brody Senff shot a 104 and T-38th, Kaleb Einspahr shot a 113 and T-50th, Kevin Bantam shot a 123 and finished 61st, and Tyler Bantam shot a 126 and finished 63rd.
Bertrand
The Vikings finished 13th and shot a 436. Payton Way shot a 100 and T-27th, Quentin Mumm shot a 101 and T-31st, Drake Olesen shot a 113 and T-50th, August Nelson finished 59th and shot a 122, and Ryker Schroeder shot a 128 and finished 64th.
Wallace
Wallace had No Team Score, as they didn't have four golfers to accumulate a score. Micah Garrison just missed out on a medal with a 91 and T-16th, Tyson Sullivan finished T-22nd with a 95, and Ethan Sauser took 65th with a 130.
It was an excellent day for golf, and great efforts put forth by the athletes.
