ARAPAHOE WARRIOR FALL SEASON PREVIEW

Warrior Football Program to Feature a lot of New Faces in 2022

Last year for the Arapahoe Warrior Football team there was a group of seasoned veterans that had seen a ton of action and led them to a 9-1 record. Following the graduation of eight seniors though, it will be a different look for the Warriors. "We will only have a total of five juniors and seniors combined so we will have to play some very young kids," says seventh year head coach Dustin Kronhofman.

The Warriors though do bring back a pair of seniors in Dylan Bahe and Cooper Wendland, a pair of All-District performers. Kronhofman looks for those two to lead the way for the Warriors on the offensive line. "Having Dylan and Cooper will help a lot being able to hold down the offensive and defensive line. Those two will have to have a huge year for us to be successful."

Following an outstanding career by Tristan White at quarterback, the Warriors will have to look at who will fill that void. That will be an interesting development as the season begins.

The Warriors begin the season on Friday, August 26th at home vs Arcadia-Loup City.

Arapahoe Returns Solid Group of Runners

The Arapahoe Cross Country team will continue to build in 2022 it appears. Last year’s team won a total of nine medals and a second place team finish, and the Warriors return a number of good runners. Campbell Shutz, Jacob Moore and Courtney Eidson who were all medalist last year at some point during the season.

Head Coach of the Warriors Marcia Foley gives us an outlook for 2022. "Even though our team graduated a talented group of runners last year, all of the underclassmen have returned for this season. I believe that we have solid runners who have the right attitude and work ethic to be competitive."

Arapahoe will begin the season on Thursday, August 25th at the Dundy County Invite.

Warrior Volleyball Looks to Improve in 2022

Following a 7-17 season a year ago, the Arapahoe Warrior Volleyball team will look to improve heading into the new year. Under second year head coach, Kate Warner, she says the Warriors will find more success this season. "I am confident we will be more successful than last year."

Some of the top returning players fro Arapahoe will include Emerson Swanson, a junior who had 159 kills a year ago and sophomore Sabrina Jacobsen who recorded 149 kills last season. This will be an interesting squad to following this season as the majority of their offense returns, so you can imagine this will be a much improved year for the Warriors

Arapahoe will start the season on Thursday, August 25th at home versus Franklin.
