Dundy County Stratton Sweeps Wauneta-Palisade Tuesday Night
On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Dundy County Stratton hosted Wauneta-Palisade for an RPAC volleyball matchup. This was a highly anticipated matchup as both teams are having an excellent season so far. This is a preview of some of the teams that could make a run in the RPAC Tournament.

In the first set, Dundy County Stratton got up 11-6 before a timeout was taken by Wauneta-Palisade. The Tigers continued to put their foot on the throttle as they went up 18-9 before the Broncos took another timeout. The block of the Tigers was really strong in the opening set.
The Tigers were able to capture the first set by a final score of 25-17. Emily Schack posted five kills in the set.
In set number two, Charli Shaw started strong for the Tigers with three aces in a row. The Broncos got within two early in the set, but then Dundy County Stratton went on a run. They led 14-7 before Wauneta-Palisade called a timeout. After trailing 19-12, Wauneta-Palisade began to climb back from Dundy County Stratton's large lead. They cut the deficit down to 20-18 before the Tigers took a timeout.
Dundy County Stratton regrouped, though, and won that set 25-19, taking a 2-0 lead.
In the third set, Wauneta-Palisade got up 3-1. The Broncos maintained the lead, going up 9-7. The set tied at 11-11, but the Broncos then took a 14-12 lead. The Tigers took the lead back at 17-16, though.
DCS went up by three, 19-16, and Wauneta-Palisade was forced to take a timeout. In the third set, Abi Spargo took complete control of the match, powering down kills but also using a finesse game to score points as well.
Wauneta-Palisade was forced to take another timeout, as the lead got extended to 23-16. DCS won the set, 25-16, and the match, 3-0.

For Wauneta-Palisade, Kaia Applegarth and Emma Acton each had six kills. Kamryn Fanning and Molly Yearous each added four kills and an ace.
For Dundy County Stratton, Abi Spargo had 17 kills and two aces; Emily Schack had eight kills and four aces; Ava Lutz had four kills; and Charli Shaw had three aces.
