Dundy County Stratton Wins Both Games at Wallace

On Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, Dundy County Stratton made the trip to Wallace for a matchup ahead of the RPAC Tournament. 


In the girls game, DCS won 73-24.


In the first quarter, Dundy County Stratton came out and dominating fashion. As they shut out Wallace and led 25-0 heading to the second.


Wallace‘s first bucket came at the 6:26 mark in the second quarter as Kaley  Sauser hit a three-pointer. Wallace got their offense going, scoring 13 points in the period.

The Tigers put up 22 points in the second quarter. 


Dundy County Stratton was able to extend their lead in the third quarter as they led 65-21 heading to the final stanza. In the fourth quarter, the teams traded buckets.



For Dundy County Stratton, Abi Spargo led the scoring with 20 points. Clara Spargo had 12, Kimberly Escobar had 12, and Emily Schack had 10.


Wallace was led by 11 points from Kaley Sauser. Reagan Finley had six points, too.

Dundy County Stratton is the #1 seed in the West for RPAC Tournament and will face #8 seeded Wallace on Friday at Wauneta-Palisade at 3:00 P.M. CT. DCS is 14-0, and Wallace is 2-11.





In the boys game, DCS won 37-34.


In the first quarter, there was a lot of activity as both teams were up and down the floor, but few points were scored. Wallace had a 6-3 lead going to the second.


At the beginning of the second quarter, Dundy County Stratton went on a little 4-0 run. Wallace took a time out.

In the second quarter, the scoring did not pick up much, but the activity and physicality remained. Dundy County Stratton led it at halftime by two, 16-14.


In the third quarter, Dundy County Stratton takes a seven-point lead, 25-18, with 5:42 to go in the period. Cooper Shaw had a string of buckets for the Tigers and provided a spark.


To Wallace’s credit, they didn’t let the lead balloon at all. They continued to hang around.


Going to the fourth quarter, Dundy County Stratton led 32 to 27.



With about 3:30 seconds to go, Wallace’s Tyson Sullivan hits a three-pointer on the right wing to cut the deficit to four, 34-30. The Tigers took a timeout after that. 


A few moments later, Max Hanson it’s a layup off the glass with just over two minutes to go in the game to tie up at 34-34. August Shaw had a couple of late free throws to push the lead 37 to 34 and close out the game.

For DCS, Cooper Shaw and Ethan Latta each had 12 points. The Tigers are now 12-2.


Wallace is now 10-3. Max Hanson had seven points, Micah Garrison had seven, and Colt Franklin had six. Tyson Sullivan added five.


DCS is the #2 seed in the West for the RPAC Tournament. They play #7 seeded Maxwell on Saturday at 5:30 P.M. CT at Wauneta-Palisade. Wallace is the #3 seed in the West, they play #6 seeded Sutherland at 4:00 P.M. CT at Wauneta-Palisade on Saturday.
