Alma hosted Dundy County Stratton for a D1-9 battle. The Tigers, one of the top teams in D1, took the matchup by a final of 62-14.

In the first quarter, DCS took the lead early as Ethan Latta ran it in from eight yards away. The two-point conversion was good, and it was 8-0 with 9:02 in the first. DCS struck again, this time from three yards away as Dante Horner ran a quarterback sneak.

Alma had a nice possession as they moved the ball down the field, and scored on a seven-yard pass from West Bennett to Zane Clark.

Prior to the touchdown pass, Tucker Biskup, a senior at Alma, had this INSANE catch.

The Cardinals trailed 14-6 with 2:08 in the first. DCS countered with a nine-yard touchdown run as Latta scored in the final second of the opening period. It was 20-6 heading to the second quarter.

On the ensuing kickoff, Breck Horner of DCS struck the ball low and with speed. It bounced off an Alma player, and the Tigers recovered it with great field position.

Alma, though on defense, did not allow a score, as Tucker Biskup recorded an interception. Alma was unable to score on the possession. DCS scored a couple of minutes later as Ethan Latta ran it in from 15 yards away, making it 27-6 at that point.

At the 6:54 mark, Dante Horner ran it in from 21 yards away, and it was 35-6. Kevin Garcia scored shortly after for DCS, also, on a 6-yard run.

Alma was driving late in the half, but Ethan Latta made his 31st career interception in the endzone to give DCS the ball with about 2:00 to go in the half. The Tigers then ran an excellent two-minute offense and went down the field and scored on a 7-yard run from Latta. It was 49-6 heading to halftime.

DCS scored out of the half, on defense, as Breck Horner stripped the ball away, scooped it up, and scored from about 30 yards out. It was 56-6 heading into the final period.

Blaine Aldridge scored on a 14-yard rush with 8:29 to go in the game.

Alma scored one more time as Eric Dicke scored on a three-yard run.
