On Tuesday, Dundy County Stratton hosted its yearly golf meet at the Benkelman Golf Club. Six teams were in attendance: Chase County, then the RPAC field: Paxton, Dundy County Stratton, Southwest, and Hitchcock County. Also, some teams were missing golfers due to ACT Testing. The weather was fantastic, especially in the morning. In the afternoon, the winds did come up but still, a good day.

Paxton
The Tigers had a nice day with four golfers placing. Tristen Hebblethwaite had the best score for them, finishing 7th with an 85, Wyatt Walker finished 10th with an 87, Griffin Perlinger took 11th with an 89, Ethan Hardin finished 12th with a 93. The Tigers were the runner ups with a 354. Paxton has a chance to do some cool things this season if they have performances like this.
Dundy County Stratton
DCS had some really solid outings for their squad. Dante Horner broke 80, with a 79, and finished 4th. Austin Sydow took 13th with a 95 and Owen Mathews finished 14th wth a 96. As a team, a 3rd place finish and a 373. At home, the Tigers did a solid job.
We caught up with Horner after the nice outing.
Southwest
The Roughriders finished 4th with a 399. Houston Billeter set a new low score for Southwest's record book, a 76 and finished 3rd. Dylan Cornwell shot a 99 and Alex Lashley had a 105. This team could improve as the season rolls on.
We chatted with Billeter after the invite.
Hitchcock County
Hitchcock County's main varsity golfers were out as they were taking the ACT. But this was a great opportunity to get some young or inexperienced golfers on a straightforward course. As a team, they finished 5th with a 412. Kaiah Johnson shot a 139, and Jill McArthur had a 133. Like we said, this was a great chance for these golfers to get into some varsity competition.
Wallace
Wallace didn't have a full team, so they did not get a team score. But Tyson Sullivan and Micah Garrison played great. Sullivan finished 9th with an 86, and Garrison finished 15th with a 97.
Coming up next for these five RPAC teams, Paxton will be at Curtis on April 17th, DCS will be at Chase County on April 15th and at Curtis on April 17th, Southwest will be at Arapahoe on April 15th and Medicine Valley on April 17th, Hitchcock County will be at Arapahoe on April 15th and Medicine Valley on April 17th, and Wallace will be at Medicine Valley on April 17th.
