Four RPAC Golfers Place at the Alma Invite

On Monday Alma hosted their invite at the Alma Country Club with 12 varsity teams in attendance. This meet was moved up a day, originally it was to be played on Tuesday, but the forecasted weather could have made conditions unplayable. The weather wasn't great for golf as wind gusts reached 40 miles per hour in the afternoon. But hey, that's golfing in Nebraska in the spring, right?

Nonetheless, from the action we caught, the golfers did a solid job adjusting their shots to fight the wind.

Let's take a look at the team results.

Southern Valley came away with a 5th place finish as a team, shooting a 378. As you see in the individual results, they leaned on Kamden Bose and Braxton Hammond. Bose finished 8th with an 85 and Hammond an 86 and 13th. Rian Grove was just outside of placing with a 94 and finishing 20th. Again, this experienced group is going to be poised to push fellow teams at RPAC next week.

Alma shot a 385 and was led by Crew Bennett. Bennett was great in many facets of his golf game. Coming away with that 85 and a 7th finish is impressive. William VanBoening shot a 97 and finished 26th, Titus Epp broke 100 also with a 98 finishing 27th. Alma's young group keeps getting better.

Bertrand finished 7th with a 388. Scott Bieker was excellent, shooting an 86 and finishing 12th. Quentin Mumm shot a 95 and finished 23rd. JC Kehr shot a 100 and finished 29th. The Vikings will look to string together some solid scores moving forward.

Cambridge finished 9th with a 412. Micah Gerlach played solid throughout the day. He shot a 92, and finished 18th. He keeps putting together nice scores, but just misses the medal stand. Maverick Webb shot a 101 for 32nd, Brohdey Wood at 103 and 34th. Cambridge will have some opportunities to play on their own course later this week and next week.

Arapahoe placed 10th with a 425. Briggs Hill shot a 103 on the day finishing 35th. Chris Hermes shot a 104 and finished 36th. Rafe Hill shot 107 and that was 43rd place, Eli Shafer, 111, 46th.

Our next RPAC Rundown Featured Golf Event is on Friday as Southwest hosts an invite in Cambridge.
