Hitchcock County Claims 2026 RPAC Wrestling Team Title

Bertrand hosted the 2026 RPAC wrestling tournament on Saturday. It was again a tight race for the team title, and Hitchcock County claimed the 2026 RPAC Team Title. There were five career milestones achieved with Micah Gerlach of Cambridge, Dylan Kollmorgan of Hitchcock County, Konner McCrumb of Wauneta-Palisade, Colt Gosnell of Maxwell, and Colton Perks of Cambridge, all reaching their 100th career wins today. At 106 pounds, it was a round-robin format, and Bryton Stalder of Southern Valley earned the RPAC title by defeating two opponents by fall and one by a 7-2 decision. Gavin Andrews of Arapahoe took 2nd, Carter Jones of Bertrand placed 3rd, and Brandon Cook of Cambridge placed 4th.
113 pounds was also a round-robin format, and it was Max Lanik of Southern Valley who clinched the RPAC title with a fall, tech fall, and major decision. Diego Almos of Bertrand took runner-up, Alyk Gray of Cambridge placed 3rd, and Hunter Schaeffer of Maxwell took 4th place.

At 120 pounds, Tayvian Sharp of Alma was named the RPAC champion in the round-robin format, picking up three wins via fall. His teammate, Bryson Shriver, took 2nd, Dylan Wendell of Bertrand placed 3rd, and Wyatt Blickenstaff of Arapahoe placed 4th.
At 126 pounds, Ben Frame of Sutherland defeated Hayden Helms of Arapahoe by tech fall, 2:49. In the third-place match, Josh Russell of Alma defeated Chase Beitler of Hi-Line by fall in 4:01.

Rigley McDonald of Arapahoe placed 1st at 132 pounds, defeating Ty Davis of Maxwell by fall in 2:50 for the RPAC title. In the third-place match, Drake Olesen of Bertrand defeated Cooper Quinn of Alma by a 16-13 decision.
At 138 pounds, Scotty Anderson of Sutherland placed 1st as he defeated Carter Blickenstaff of Arapahoe by major decision, 13-3. In the 3rd place match, Devan Rodriguez of Cambridge defeated Ian Dunse of Alma by fall in 1:00.
Briggs Hill placed 1st at 144 pounds, defeating his three opponents in the round-robin format by fall. Bowen Backer of Sutherland placed 2nd, Carter Shoemaker of Cambridge placed 3rd, and Brody Hubl of Hitchcock County placed 4th.

At 150 pounds, Micah Gerlach of Cambridge placed 1st over Prestin Horwart of Southern Valley by fall in 3:30. In the 3rd place match, Parker Schutz defeated Hunter Jorschumb of Arapahoe by fall in 0:43.
Hayden Lans of Southern Valley defeated Rhett Brown of Bertrand for the title at 157 pounds by major decision, 26-15. In the 3rd place match, Cale Graham of Hitchcock County defeated Kaden Klumpe of Cambridge by an 11-5 decision.
At 165 pounds, Colton Perks of Cambridge defeated Colton Fote of Paxton by fall in 3:00. Dylan Kollmorgan of Hitchcock County defeated Keaton Broeker of Southern Valley by fall in 0:33 for 3rd place.

David Bryner of Wauneta-Palisade placed 1st at 175 pounds over Jaret Neben of Hitchcock County by fall in 2:21. In the 3rd place match, Bennet Jorgenson of Southern Valley defeated Aiden Kane of Dundy County Stratton by tech fall.
Trevor Manka of Maxwell emerged as the champion at 190 pounds by defeating Karson Hubl of Hitchcock County by tech fall. In the 3rd place match, Brayden Evans of Bertrand defeated Kade Schaffert of Southwest by fall in 4:41.

Karson Shuler of Hitchcock County continued his strong run, as he defeated Colt Gosnell of Maxwell by fall late in the match, 5:27, to earn the RPAC title at 215 pounds. In the 3rd place match, Trev Burke of Cambridge defeated Colton Koetter of Wauneta-Palisade by fall in 3:43.
At 285 pounds, Jayden Loghry of Hitchcock County defeated Tucker Viter of Hi-Line by fall in 1:47. In the consolation match, Trey Downey of Arapahoe defeated Keith Andersen of Sutherland by a 4-2 decision.
