Hitchcock County Defeats Arapahoe
On Thursday, September 10, 2026, Hitchcock County played host to Arapahoe for a battle on the gridiron.
In the first quarter, the teams traded possessions. Arapahoe fumbled while driving, and Hitchcock County took over. But they couldn't convert it into points, and they turned it over on downs. Neither team could get anything going, and they went to the second quarter with no score.

With 3:06 to go in the half, on a 4th-and-inches play, Tekoa Hazlitt ran it in from 47 yards out. It was 6-0 just before halftime.
Arapahoe then fumbled the football on the first play of their next drive. They gave the ball to Hitchcock County on the Warrior 31-yard line with just under 3:00 to go before halftime.

Hitchcock County was able to capitalize on the drive as Hazlitt passed to Cale Graham on a 2-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion was no good, and it was 12 -0 with 1:40 to go in the half.
Arapahoe answered with a score of their own. They executed the two-minute drill nearly perfectly. Briggs Hill hit Rigley McDonald on a 16-yard pass with 33 seconds to go before halftime. The two-point conversion was good, and it was 12-8.

That was the score at halftime.
Hitchcock County was able to score on their opening possession after halftime as Brody Hubl ran in from 33 yards away. The two-point conversion was good, and it was 20-8 with 9:24 to go in the third.

Arapahoe was driving and got all the way down to the Hitchcock County 5-yard line. On third down, the Warriors fumbled the football and gave it back to Hitchcock County.
It was 20-8 heading into the fourth quarter.
On the first play of the fourth quarter, Tekoa Hazlitt found Brody Hubl on a 52-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion was good, and it was 28-8.
Arapahoe, though, would not quit. They were able to score on a 4-yard touchdown run by Rigley McDonald with 7:58 to go in the game. It was 28-14 at that point.
Then, Brody Hubl ran it in from 55 yards away with 1:00 to go in the game to extend the lead for the Falcons. It was 34-14 at that point, and they closed out the game with that score.

For Hitchcock County, they had 283 yards rushing and 58 yards passing. They did have one turnover.
Brody Hubl had 144 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Tekoa Hazlitt had 114 yards rushing and one touchdown. Hazlitt also had 58 yards passing and two touchdowns. Hazlitt had an interception as well.
Hubl had two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown and Cale Graham had one catch for two yards and a touchdown. The Falcons are 3-0 and will go to Franklin next Friday.
For Arapahoe, they had 263 yards rushing and 16 yards passing. The Warriors had five turnovers.
For Arapahoe, Rigley McDonald had 16 yards receiving and a touchdown. HE also added 151 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Briggs Hill had 87 yards rushing and 16 yards passing and a touchdown. Trey Downey had 38 yards rushing.
Arapahoe is 1-2 and will play at home against Axtell next week on Friday.
