Hitchcock County Girls and Boys Win on the Road at Medicine Valley

On Thursday, December 18th, 2025, the Hitchcock County Falcons and the Medicine Valley Raiders faced one another on the basketball court. Hitchcock County, the road squad, took home wins in both games.

In the girls game, the Falcons took the victory by a final of 59-43. In the opening quarter, both teams were able to get plenty of shots up and successfully converted a number of them. Hitchcock County led 16-11. In the second quarter, the Falcons created a little bit of space and took a 10-point lead into the half, 30-20.
In the third quarter, the teams continued to battle back and forth, and at the end of the period, Hitchcock County led 45-33. In the final quarter, Medicine Valley made attempts at a comeback, but Hitchcock County got some big stops to maintain the lead and secure the win.
Madysen Carlson scored 20 points to lead Hitchcock County, Asia Homma had 16, and Kalissa Hagan had 11. The Falcons move to 2-3 and will play Rawlins County on Friday, December 19th.
For Medicine Valley, Oakley Stout had 18 points. Kamree Elsten totaled five, and Brooke Kotschwar had six. The Raiders are 0-6 and will play South Loup on Friday, December 19th.

In the boys' game, it was a competitive matchup for the first half, but Hitchcock County pulled away in the second half and won 73-44.
In the first quarter, Medicine Valley had a narrow lead of 14-12. In the second period, both teams were able to keep the offense going and Hitchcock County took the lead, 28-25.
In the second half, the Falcons kept things rolling, and they knocked down a ton of shots. The Raiders scored 12 points in the third, but Hitchcock County totaled 24 themselves and led 52-37. In the final period, Hitchcock County scored 21 points and held Medicine Valley to seven.
The Raiders are now 4-2, and will face South Loup on Friday, December 19th. Lucas Einspahr had 16 points in the game for Medicine Valley. Mason Roblee added 12 points. Alex Einspahr had 10.
For Hitchcock County, the Falcons had big games out of Jayce Hauxwell and Adam Kisker with 25 and 24 points. Jack Baker had 12. The Falcons are 2-3 and play Rawlins County on Friday, December 19th.
