MCC Indians Boosters Host Wild West All-Star Volleyball Classic on Sunday

On Sunday, the MCC Indians Boosters hosted the Wild West All-Star Volleyball Classic at the Peter and Dolores Graff Events Center. Fifteen RPAC athletes were represented in the three-team round-robin format. Additionally, Southwest alumna Caylin Barnett was selected to coach one of the teams, as she is also a graduate of MCC.

The coaches for each team were MCC Volleyball graduates.

In the first match of the day, Team 1, coached by Caylin Barnett, took set one over Team 2, coached by Victoria Thomas, 25-15. Set two also went to Team 1, 25-15, to take the match 2-0.
In the second match, Team 2, coached by Victoria Thomas, faced Team 3, coached by Emily Barr. Set one went to Team 2 with a score of 25-19, and set two also went to Team 2 with a score of 25-15, resulting in a 2-0 sweep over Team 3.
In the third and final match, Team 1, coached by Caylin Barnett, faced Team 3, coached by Emily Barr. This match took all three sets to find a winner. Team 1 took set one, 25-19; Team 2 took set two, 27-25; and set three went to Team 1, 25-16. Team 1 took the match, 2-1.
Team 1 was the winner of the round-robin tournament. It was a great afternoon watching these athletes compete!
