New Date, Better Weather - RPAC Teams Compete at Don Stine



Weather forced the Don Stine Invite that was originally scheduled for Saturday the 6th to Monday, April 8th. The forecast cooperated and had significantly better weather to compete in and athletes and spectators alike were able to take in the Great American Eclipse. Let's dive right into the results.

In the 100m dash, Laken Wissink of DCS placed 2nd with a time of 11.34, Carlos Romero of MHC placed 5th with a time of 11.75, and Blaine Aldridge of DCS placed 8th with a time of 11.85.


In the 200m dash, Tayten Koeppen of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 24.01, Romero of MHC placed 7th with a time of 24.99, and Noah Zoltenko of DCS placed 8th with a time of 25.17.


In the 400m dash, Koeppen of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 54.17, Mitchel Stritt of Southwest placed 4th with a time of 55.06, Grayson Koller of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 55.44, and Preston Howart of Southern Valley placed 8th with a time of 57.88.



In the 800m run, Jerry Ingison of MHC placed 1st and improved his own co-op record with a time of 2:07.26. Will Cacy of Arapahoe placed 2nd with a time of 2:10.13, and Wyatt Jackson of Cambridge placed 5th with a time of 2:13.49.


In the 1600m run, Austin Thompson of Southwest placed 5th with a time of 5:21.16.


In the 3200m run, Thompson of Southwest placed 8th with a time of 12:09.30.


In the 110m hurdles, Kevin Garcia Guzman of DCS placed 4th with a time of 15.91, Trenton Roskop of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 16.99, and Kade Fisher of Arapahoe placed 7th with a time of 17.91.


In the 300m hurdles, Roskop of Arapahoe placed 3rd with a time of 44.99, Fisher of Arapahoe placed 4th with a time of 48.03, Kody Schwenk of MHC placed 7th with a time of 49.69, and Jordan Holstein of Arapahoe placed 8th with a time of 50.23.



In the 4x100m relay, DCS placed 1st with a time of 45.23 and was run by Wissink, Aldridge, Garcia Guzman, and Jackson Kerchal. Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 47.62 and was run by Kraton Ruggles, Ben Hoberty, Brady Ahelemeyer, and Koeppen. Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 50.24 and was run Hayden Sich, Fisher, Hudson Sich, and Carl Nordine. Southwest placed 6th with a time of 58.74 and was run by Jason Day, Luis Escobar Salas, Jakub Walz, and Kade Schaffert.


In the 4x400m relay, Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 3:45.65 and was run by Hayden Sich, Roskop, Koller, and Cacy. DCS placed 2nd with a time of 3:46.03 and was run by Garcia Guzman, MHC placed 3rd with a time of 3:50.86 and was run by Jaxson Anders, Gage Gerlach, Schwenk, and Ingison. Southwest placed 4th with a time of 3:52.83 and was run by Jacob Barber, Trenton Williams, Nathan Rippe, and Stritt. Cambridge placed 5th with a time of 3:55.16 and was run by by Ruggles, Jackson, Alemeyer, and Hoberty. In the 4x800m relay, Cambridge placed 4th with a time of 9:23.13 and was run by Ahlemeyer, Hoberty, Gavin Gunderson, and Jackson. MHC placed 5th with a time of 9:36.16 and was run by Oliver Anders, Gerlach, J. Anders, and Lucas Mahanes. Southwest placed 6th with a time of 9:50.16 and was run by Barber, Thompson, Walz, and Caleb Heskett. In shot put, Brock Bailey of DCS placed 1st with a throw of 49'10", Trey Downey of Arapahoe placed 7th with a throw of 40'0.5", and Kerchal of DCS placed 8th with a throw of 39'11.5".


In discus, Bailey of DCS placed 4th with a toss of 128'0", Gabe Grove of Southern Valley placed 5th with a toss of 121'4", Hunter Perks of Cambridge placed 6th with a toss of 118'11", and Derek Noffsinger of DCS placed 8th with a toss of 114'8".


In high jump, Acton of Wauneta-Palisade placed 1st with a jump of 6'0" and Ingison of MHC placed 4th with a jump of 5'6".


In pole vault, Gage Hammond of Southwest placed 4th with a vault of 10'6", Gavin Hammond of Southwest placed 5th with a vault of 10'0", and Hayden Lans and Brandon Rascon-Salinas of Arapahoe tied for 8th with a vault of 9'6".


In long jump, Zoltenko of DCS placed 6th with a jump of 19'5", Garcia Guzman of DCS placed 7th with a jump of 19'3", and Wheeler of Wauneta-Palisade tied for 8th with a jump of 19'2.5".


In triple jump, Perks of Cambridge placed 6th with a jump of 37'6", T. McCrumb of Wauneta-Palisade placed 7th with a jump of 36'2", and Ruggles of Cambridge placed 8th with a jump of 36'1".

In the 100m dash, JoLie Farr of Cambridge set a new meet record with her 1st place finish and time of 12.58. Adi Hunt of Southern Valley placed 2nd with a time of 12.66, Kayana Riley of DCS placed 4th with a time of 12.94, and McKenna Doetker of Wauneta-Palisade placed 8th with a time of 13.54.


In the 200m dash, Hunt of Southern Valley placed 1st with a time of 26.38, Farr of Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 27.28, Cheyenne Parrish of Wauneta-Palisade placed 7th with a time of 29.37, and Rachel Harris of Cambridge placed 8th with a time of 29.55.


In the 400m dash, Hunt of Southern Valley placed 1st with a new school record time of 60.39, Clara Spargo of DCS placed 2nd with a time of 60.41, Desi Farner of Arapahoe placed 3rd with a time of 65.40, Blayklee Farr of MHC placed 4th with a time of 66.35, and Ruby McCune of Arapahoe placed 8th with a time of 69.04.


In the 800m run, Reagan Stengel of MHC placed 1st with a time of 2:32.43, Emily Schack of DCS placed 2nd with a time of 2:34.28, Karissa Stengel of MHC placed 6th with a time of 2:44.50, and Harris of Cambridge placed 8th with a time of 2:46.77.

In the 3200m run, Andrews of Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 13:53.72.


In the 100m hurdles, Jalen Kent of Cambridge placed 4th with a time of 17.52, Kesli Cox of MHC placed 5th with a time of 17.80, Brecklyn Hammond of Southern Valley placed 6th with a time of 18.05, and Emma Acton of Wauneta-Palisade placed 7th with a time of 18.69.

Arapahoe, Cambridge, Maywood-Hayes Center, Southwest and Wauneta-Palisade will all be back in Cambridge on Friday, April 12th for the Medicine Valley Invite while Dundy County Stratton will be at the Sutherland Invite on Friday.
