Tiger Volleyball Looks to be Improved in 2022

Last year for the Paxton Tigers it was a season in which they went 13-16. But this season there is reason for optimism. 7th year Head Coach Lisa Mitchell said that her squad has shown a lot of growth in the offseason. "The Paxton Lady Tigers have displayed a lot of promising growth over the summer and are rolling into the 2022 season with some big expectations of where they would like to be at the end of the season."

Mitchell also highlights that some of the positions they have coming back in 2022. "We return our two middle hitters who have came into their own and have started to excel in their positions. This group of young ladies should really excel this season. "

Junior Jacelyn Jorgensen will be one of the Tigers to watch this season as she was a First Team Selection in the RPAC and led the team in assisted blocks with 21. Also, junior Audrey Holm will be impactful as she was an RPAC Second teamer with 193 kills and 63 aces last year.

The Tigers begin the season on Thursday at Maywood-Hayes Center's Triangular.

Tigers Ready to Begin Cross Country Season

The 2022 Cross Country season is right around the corner and the Paxton Tigers are excited to get rolling. The Tigers are under the direction of eighth year Head Coach Lindsey Jorgensen and she says their team will look to grow this season. "Look forward to lots of personal growth and excitement towards running their best," said Jorgensen.

One of the key returners for the Tigers is Rylin Johns. Jorgensen had this to say about him. "He has really worked hard this summer and will make progress throughout the year."

Paxton Tigers Continue to Prep for 2022 Season

For the Paxton Tiger Football team, they are excited for the season. They lost one senior from last year's team, and return some experience. Last year in 2021, it was a tough season for the Tigers as they went 2-6.

Head Coach of the Tigers Scott Jorgensen gives us an outlook for the 2022 season. "..we are very optimistic about our upcoming season. We are still a young team that will have some growing up to do as the season progresses; however, we gained a great deal of experience last year."

Jorgensen views Arthur County as one of the top teams in their district this year. Paxton will begin the season on Thursday, August 25th @ Hay Springs.
