Paxton Boy's Basketball Returns Four Starters
Following a 13-10 season in 2021-2022, the Paxton Boy's Basketball team will look to grow. They will be under the direction of a new head coach, Justin Hardin, but he has been an assistant there for 17 years, so a familiar face to the program. Hardin inherits a team that has experience coming back. "(We) return four starters from a team that got to district finals last year. Excited to build on that," said Hardin.
The Tigers return two conference performers as senior Isaiah Fox and junior Josh Eakins each were RPAC West All-Conference Honorable Mention selections.
They will take on Anselmo-Merna on Thursday, December 1st to begin the year.
Paxton Wrestling Preparing for New Season
According to head coach of the Paxton Wrestling team Shawn Hebbert, this could be an exciting season for the Tigers. They have a nine-man roster and he mentioned that he could see five-six athletes get to state and a few get medals.
Hebbert mentioned John Fricke at 285 as a wrestler with potential. Hebbert also said, "Parker Riesburg (120) freshman Gunnar Foster (152 ) junior both with a lot of Federation experience Joe Eakins is a first-year wrestler and a good athlete, Kenyon Florom at 170 freshmen with federation experience."
Paxton begins their wrestling season on Saturday, December 3rd at Mullen.
At this time no information is available for Paxton Girl's Basketball.
