Q. What does teamwork mean to you?

A. What teamwork means to me is a group of people coming together like a family to accomplish a goal they have. Teamwork is a big thing at Wallace for our sports. It has shown that if you want to accomplish something, you have to do it together, not individually.

Q. What is your favorite thing about playing golf?

A. My favorite thing about golf is it’s a sport you can play your whole life and still compete. Like football and basketball, for most people, you only get to play it in high school while golf you are able to continue playing throughout your life.

Q. Sports Hero?

A. I watch a lot of sports games and so having a sports hero is hard to choose from for me. One person that I started to look at a lot and what his game plays is Sam Hoiberg from the Nebraska basketball team. He has shown that you can accomplish anything with hard work and dedication. The impact he had on the defensive end in basketball is something I try to do for our basketball team.

Q. Favorite part about competing?

A. My favorite part about competing is the excitement and competitiveness it brings out in me. I love to compete in any sport I play. Competing against other athletes brings about a different level of competitiveness because I don’t like to lose.

Q. Favorite Sports Memory?

A. Favorite sport memory for me definitely has to be making it to state golf in my sophomore year. Coming into that season, I knew I had a chance of making it but knew it was going to be hard. Making state in a sport was one of my main goals in high school, so for me, making state for the first time in my high school career was such a huge accomplishment.

Q. Weird food combination you can’t get behind?

A. weird food combination I can’t get behind is pineapple on pizza. I have never thought fruit belonged on pizza and is something that has never sounded appealing to me.

Q. Most influential person in your life?

A. My most influential person in my life has to be my dad. He has been there through everything with me. Doesn’t matter sports, schooling, or everyday life, he has been there to help whenever I need it. If it’s helping me prepare for my sports event coming up, studying for tests, or for the guidance of life skills in the real world.

Q. Rather have no AC/Heating or no internet for a year?

A. I think I would rather have no AC/Heating for a year. In today’s world, a lot relies on the internet, so I feel like I would need more.

Q. Would you rather live 100 years into the future or the past, and why?

A. I would rather live 100 years in the future because I don’t know what will happen in the future. 100 years in the past I will be experiencing something I have learned about, so I think it would be a lot more fun to do 100 years in the future. I would get to see what everything has come to from where we are today.

Q. Fruits or vegetables?

A. I am a big fruit person except for watermelon. If you asked one of my family members they would all say they see me eating fruit a lot during the week. Apples or bananas are one of my go-to snacks because they are an easy grab-and-go.
