RPAC Baseball Results as of 3/17

For those of you who didn't know, we have an RPAC school that competes in the Spring Baseball season. Maxwell co-ops with St. Pat's to play baseball and this season they are under the direction of a new head coach, Kole Harrach.

They got the season started on Saturday as they were in St. Paul for a triangular. They took on St. Paul/Palmer and fell 14-4. Maxwell/St. Pat's was ahead early on, 3-1 until the bottom of the fourth inning. Then, St. Paul/Palmer scored six runs to go up 7-3. In the top of the fifth, Maxwell scored a run to cut the deficit down to 7-4.

But a strong bottom of the fifth inning from St. Paul/Palmer scored seven runs to go up by 10, 14-4, and close out the game for a win. For Maxwell St. Pat's Braxton Richards was 2-3 with an RBI, Coy Baker was 1-3 with an RBI, Xavier Pieper had an RBI, and Austin Miller was 1-3 with an RBI. Cyrrus Messersmith was 1-3 in the game too.

On the mound, Kole Jones picked up the loss going 3 2/3 innings allowing seven earned runs. Jones had two strikeouts. Coy Baker went two innings allowing seven runs.

Maxwell/St. Pat's also played Lincoln Christian and fell 16-1. Maxwell St. Pat's found themselves down early, 10-0 after three innings. They were able to get a run on the board in the bottom of the fifth but were down 16-1 at that point and the game ended after five innings.

Kole Jones went 1-2 with an RBI for Maxwell/St. Pat's.

Maxwell St. Pat's is 0-2 and took on North Platte this week on Tuesday, which will be in next week's blog, and that was their lone game on the schedule this week.
