Maxwell/St. Pat's had a light week in the second week of games for the 2024 baseball season. They had one matchup against North Platte High. North Platte High competes in Class B, and Maxwell St. Pat's is in Class C.
Maxwell/St. Pat's dropped this matchup to the Bulldogs with the final score reading 13-2. North Platte did the majority of their damage in the first inning. In the top of the first, they scored 12 runs. In the second inning, the Bulldogs put up another run and all of a sudden they were up 13-0 going to the bottom of the second.
Maxwell/St. Pat's was able to get some things going in the bottom of the third inning, scoring a pair of runs.
For Maxwell/St. Pat's, they did accumulate eight hits as a team. Austin Miller went 2-2, Braxton Williams went 2-2 with an RBI, and Cyrrus Messersmith went 2-3 with an RBI. Brecklyn Collins and Kole Jones each had hits too.
From the mound, Coy Baker went 2/3 of an inning and allowed 12 runs. Braxton Williams wen 2.1 innings and allowed two runs. Brecklyn Collins was solid on the mound with two innings pitched and two strikeouts and no earned runs.
Maxwell/St. Pat's is now 0-3 and will play Sedgwick County on Tuesday this week.
