RPAC Baseball Results as of 4/14




Maxwell/St. Pat's had a pair of games this past week and they were able to split the matchups, capturing their first win of the 2024 campaign.






On Monday they played Twin River and fell in five innings, 16-3. This was a home game for Maxwell/St. Pat's. Twin River took no time getting rolling, in the top half of the first inning they scored six runs. They kept it rolling for the next couple of innings, up 15-0. Twin River scored again in the top of the fourth, but just one run.


In the bottom of the fourth inning, Maxwell/St. Pat's scored a pair of runs to make it 16-2 going to the fifth. In the bottom half, Maxwell/St. Pat's made a last-ditch effort to come back. They scored one run but could not get any closer.






Maxwell/St. Pat's was led by Brecklyn Collins, 2-3 with an RBI, Jaxon Braithwait, 1-3 with an RBI, and Braxton Williams 1-3 with an RBI.


What a big bounceback for Maxwell/St. Pat's on Friday though. They beat Sedgwick County, 7-6. It took a comeback effort though to get the win. In the bottom of the first, Sedgwick County got the scoring started with a run. Maxwell/St. Pat's countered with a run of their own in the top of the third.



In the bottom of the fourth, Sedgwick County scored a pair of runs to go up 3-1. Maxwell/St. Pat's scored to make it 3-2. In the top of the sixth, Maxwell/St. Pat's scored a pair of runs, one being a homerun from Isaac Irish to tie it up. They scored another to push it to 4-3 going to the bottom of the sixth.


In the bottom of the sixth, Sedgwick County answered big time with three runs, going up 6-4 heading to the top of the seventh.






Maxwell/St. Pat's though, scored three runs to go up 7-6. Maxwell/St. Pat's then in the bottom of the seventh ended the game on a 9-6-3 triple play.


Irish was 1-3 with that homerun and had an RBI, Braithwait was 2-3 with an RBI, and Max Robinson was 2-3 with a pair of RBI's too. On the mound, Kole Jones went 5.1 innings, four hits allowed, five earned runs, and ten strikeouts. Collins went 1.2 innings, and allowed two hits, and just one run.


Maxwell/St. Pat's is now 1-5 on the season and will play at Adams Central on Thursday this week.
