For Maxwell-St. Pat's they began postseason play this past week in the C-3 District Tournament. They were set to face off against Arlington on Thursday, who came into the game with a 10-10 record while Maxwell-St. Pat's was 6-6. This matchup was played in Central City.
Unfortunately for Maxwell-St. Pat's their postseason play was short-lived as they fell to Arlington, 6-5.
In the first inning, Arlington took the lead 1-0. It was quiet until the top of fourth inning, Maxwell-St. Pat's took the lead, 2-1. Arlington though, answered back in the home half of that inning, scoring three runs and making it 4-2.
Arlington tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth, to make it 6-2. In the top of the seventh inning, Maxwell-St. Pat's made a nice run at a comeback, scoring three runs, but couldn't complete the comeback.
Maxwell-St. Pat's was led by Cyrrus Messersmith as he went 2-4 at the plate with an RBI. Braxton Williams was 1-3 with an RBI too.
Maxwell-St. Pat's ends the season at 6-7.
