RPAC Football Results as of 9/28, Week 5

Week 5 is now complete, and football squads are continuing to work through the season. Before we dive into the results, let's check out the MNB Realty Football Scoreboard.
Reminder, here are the District Assignments for RPAC Football Teams
D1-9: Dundy County Stratton, Alma, Hi-Line, Southern Valley, and Arapahoe
D1-10: Sutherland
D2-8: Bertrand, Cambridge, Hitchcock County, and Maywood-Hayes Center
D2-9: Maxwell
D6-4 Paxton, Medicine Valley, Southwest, Wallace, and Wanuneta-Palisade
Alma vs Southern Valley
Southern Valley and Alma battled in a rivalry game. Alma won by a final of 42-14. Southen Valley is now 0-5 and will host Hi-Line on Friday, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. Alma is 2-3 and will be at Arapahoe on Friday.
Dundy County Stratton vs Arapahoe
Dundy County Stratton hosted Arapahoe on Friday. DCS, one of the top teams in the state, won by a final score of 55-0. For Arapahoe, Hayden Sich had 38 yards rushing. Briggs HIll had six tackles, Cian McCorkle had six tackles, and Hayden Sich had five tackles. Trey Downey had a fumble recovery.
For DCS, Dante Horner was 5-8 with 87 yards and two touchdowns. As a team, they had 304 yards rushing, Kevin Garcia had 80 yards rushing and Horner had 68 yards and two scores. August Shaw had 46 yards and two touchdowns, Owen Mathews had 22 yards and a score, and Ethan Latta returned this week and had 26 yards and a touchdown. Shaw had 24 yards receiving and a score, and Garcia had 51 yards and a touchdown. Six different players scored.
Carlos Diaz had 10 tackles, Brock Bailey added seven, and Tagen Yrkoski had nine. Breck Horner had seven, too. Bailey had a sack, and Horner, Latta, and Garcia each had an interception.
Arapahoe is 1-4 and will play Alma at home on Friday. DCS is 5-0 and will now be at North Platte St. Pat's on Friday.
Hitchcock County vs Bertrand
One of the top teams in D2, Hitchcock County, and Bertrand faced off on Friday. And it was Hitchcock County that came out on top, winning 58-12. The Falcons are now 4-0 and will be at home in a monster game against Loomis. Bertrand is 3-2 and will be at Overton on Friday.
Loomis vs Cambridge
Cambridge entered this matchup as one of the top-10 teams in D2. Loomis, the home team won by a final of 66-38. Jace Schukar of Loomis ran for 301 yards and five touchdowns. As a team they ran for 353 yards.
For Cambridge, Micah Gerlach had 203 yards passing and four touchdowns. Brady Ahlemeyer had 52 yards rushing, Braxton Mitchell had 51 yards, and Krayton Ruggles had 51 yards. Colton Perks, Braydon Miller and Gerlach each had 12 tackles.
Cambridge is now 4-1 and will be at Maywood-Hayes Center on Friday.
North Platte St. Pat's vs Hi-Line
HI-Line played North Platte St. Pat's on Friday and fell in the game 53-14. The Bulls were down 14-8 after the first 12 minutes. After that, St. Pat's outscored the Bulls 39-6. Brody Deifenbaugh had 30 yards and a touchdown. Traevyn Koch had 18 yards and a touchdown. Will Oaklund scored on a punt return as well. Parker Schutlz had seven tackles and so did Jaxson Hood.
Hi-Line is now 1-4 and will play at Southern Valley on Friday, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Sandhills/Thedford vs Maxwell
Maxwell went to Sandhills/Thedford and fell in the game 52-28. Maurice Robinson rushed for 272 yards and five touchdowns for Sandhills/Thedford.
Jesse Reyes had a big game with 219 yards and four touchdowns. Maxwell is now 3-2 and will face Mullen at home on Friday.
Overton vs Maywood-Hayes Center
Maywood-Hayes Center faced a solid Overton team and fell in the game 49-6. The Wolves are now 0-5 and will face Cambridge at home on Friday
SEM vs Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley faced the 4th-ranked team in D6 on Thursday night. Medicine Valley dropped the game 61-28. Medicine Valley is now 1-3 and will face #6 Southwest on Friday at home.
Wauneta-Palisade vs Paxton
The Broncos, who are ranked #9 in D6, faced Paxton. The Broncos won 66-20. It was a narrow lead after the first two quarters, 32-20 for Wauneta-Palisade. But they were able to score 34 unanswered in the second half to win the game. Kreyton Wiese had 131 yards and five scores and Kameran McCrumb had 94 yards and two touchdowns.
Aaden Wheeler had a touchdown on the ground, too. Wyatt Hilbert was 3-5 with 56 yards and two touchdowns. Ayden Baker had 37 yards and a score, and Wiese caught a pass for a touchdown.
The Broncos are 4-0 and will play at SEM this week on Friday. Paxton is 1-3 and will be at Wallace on Friday.
Southwest vs Wallace
Southwest and Wallace were a battle between some of the top teams in D6. Southwest secured the win with a final score of 45-30. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can read the full article here.
Southwest moves to 4-0 and will play Medicine Valley on the road Friday.
Wallace is now 3-1 and will host Paxton on Friday.
Perkins County vs Sutherland
Sutherland dropped their matchup against Perkins County on Friday. Perkins County took the lead early, 32-8, at the end of the first quarter. Sutherland falls to 1-4 and will play at home versus Hemingford on Thursday.
