RPAC Golf Results as of 5/25

This past week, RPAC golf teams competed in District Invites, attempting to keep their season alive with state coming up on Wednesday, May 28th and Thursday, May 29th. The RPAC ended up with 23 golfers qualifying for state. Let's dive into the blog.


D-5 District Invite at Lake Malone Golf Course in North Platte on 5/19


The RPAC had five teams compete within this district and two of them qualified for state and four others qualified as individuals.

Sutherland and Hitchcock County had to battle in a team playoff for the runner-up plaque. Either way, both teams were heading to state.


The Sutherland team comprises Grady Dempcy, Ryker Copeland, Easton Smith, Tegan Fitzpatrick, and Keaton Miller.


Hitchcock County's qualifying team is Jack Baker, Brayden Melchert, Cale Graham, Mason Schilke, and Dylan Kollmorgen. Hitchcock County was the team runner-up at state last season.


Brayden Melchert of Hitchcock County was the District Champ with a solid outing and a 77. Along with that, teammate Jack Baker shot an 82 and finished in 3rd. Last season, Melchert finished 13th at State, and Baker was a runner-up.


Dante Horner of DCS kept his steady play wth an 81 and was the district runner-up.


Sutherland's Dempcy and Ryker Copeland were excellent again finishing 6th and 9th with an 84 and 86. Paxton had a couple of qualifiers too: with Ethan Hardin shooting an 86 and finishing 7th, and Tristen Hebblethwaite shot an 88 and took 10th.


Wallace's Tyson Sullivan shot an 88 and tied for 10th, also—great day for Mr. Sullivan.

What a day for the Hi-Line Bulls, the hosts of the invite. They shot a 334 and qualified their team, which is made up of Zach Whittaker, Gavin Tilson, Hudson Weeder, Collin Shutts, and Parker Schutz.


Houston Billeter of Southwest had a big day with a 74 and was the district champ. Zach Whittaker 2nd with a 75 and Gavin Tilson of Hi-Line 10th with an 85 were solid for the Bulls.





Micah Gerlach played well, shooting an 80 and finishing 5th. He qualifies for state once again. You know who else qualified again? Tyce Pate of Medicine Valley. He shot an 82 and finished 6th. Quentin Mumm of Bertrand was awesome, too, finishing 9th with an 85.







C-5 District at Crandall Creek in Ogallala on 5/19

Alma was unable to qualify either their team or an individual. But what a season for the Cardinals! They were the RPAC Champs and had a really nice year.




So, RPAC will be well represented in Class D at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus on May 28th and 29th. Here's how it looks.
