RPAC Golfers Compete on Day One of the Class D NSAA State Golf Championships

Whoever from the NSAA ordered the weather in Columbus, good on you. It was a picture-perfect day for the opening round of the Class D NSAA State Golf Championships at Quail Run Golf Course. The RPAC had 23 qualifiers compete, including three teams. Along with great weather, we had a hole-in-one from an RPAC Golfer, too.

For the Falcons, they had a 363 so far after day one, and they are in 6th place. Jack Baker is T-10th with an 83 after his opening round. Brayden Melchert is T-16th with an 84. Mason Schilke is T-41st and shot a 90. Dylan Kollmorgen shot a 106 and is T-90th. Cale Graham shot a 112 and is 96th.
Hi-Line
The Bulls are in 11th place after the first day with a score of 369. Zach Whittaker is T-27th with an 87. Hudson Weeder is T-51st with a 92, and Gavin Tilson is T-51st with a 92 as well. Parker Schutz is T-72nd with a 98, and Collin Shutts is T-94th with a 111.
Sutherland
The Sailors are in 13th place with a score of 373. Grady Dempcy is T-5th with an 81. Easton Smith shot a 90 and is T-41st, Ryker Copeland is T-48th with a 91, Teagan Fitzpatrick is T-94th with a 111, and Keaton Miller shot a 127 and is 101st.
Cambridge
The Trojans have Micah Gerlach competing, and man, did he have a day. He is in 2nd place, shooting a 77. We visited with him about his play so far. Interviews are brought to you by Acme Printing Company.
Southwest
Houston Billeter had a solid outing, shooting an 83 and is T-10th so far. Billeter was able to have a strong round later in the day.
Paxton
Ethan Hardin for the Tigers is T-51st with a 92 so far. Tristen Hebblethwaite is T-16th, and he is the RPAC golfer who hit a hole-in-one. It was on his second hole of the day, hole 11.

Dundy County Stratton
Dante Horner continued his steady play this season. In his opening round, he shot an 84 and is T-16th heading into day two.
Bertrand
Quentin Mumm of Bertrand competed well in his opening round. He shot a 92 and finds himself T-51st.
Medicine Valley
Tyce Pate for Medicine Valley has shot a 94 so far. He is T-63 in the field. Last year his second day at state was awesome, we'll see if he can do it again.
Wallace
Tyson Sullivan of Wallace shot a 103 on the day for his first-round score. He sits T-85th amongst the field.
