It was a busy first week for majority of the RPAC schools as they competed at the Medicine Valley Invite and the Dundy County Stratton Invite.
Medicine Valley Invite Results--5k Course:
Bertrand-Loomis: For the boys, Marcus Hernandez came across the line first with a time of 18:43.2. Wes Trompke came in 2nd (19:44.6), Carter Horner 11th (21:54.1), Chonsey Bieker 12th (21:51.9), and Luke Larson 14th (22:40.0). As a team, the Wolfing boys took home the Championship title with 13 points. For the girls, Addie Hansen led the way for the Wolfkings as she placed 6th with a time of 28:51.7. Aislin Kidder came across in 9th (28:51.70, Logan Schutz 12th (29:56.5), and Torrin Donaldson 13th (30:03.8). As a team, they took home the Runner-Up title, behind Hi-Line (9 points), with a total of 23 points.
Maxwell: The Wildcats were led by Dallas Beegle who placed 6th with a time of 21:50.0. Elio Nila placed 10th (21:35.5) and Max Robinson came in 15th (22:41.2). The teams came in 3rd place with 29 points. For the girls, Keith Curtis led the way with a 4th place finish and a time of 25:53.9. Billie Degarmo rounded out the placers with a 15th place finish and a time of 30:37.1. Emme Lucas just missed a medal with a 16th place finish and a time of 30:39.7. The team finished in 3rd with 28 points.
Medicine Valley: Kael Garrett led the way for the Raiders in 4th place (20:04.9) and Joe Brown was right behind him finishing in 5th (20:41.5). The team came in 2nd with 24 points. The lone girl for the Raiders is Paige Hollers and she finished 22nd with a time of 37:23.5.
Southern Valley: Isaac Hamilton finished in 3rd with a time of 19:45.3 and Kolby Hunt finished in 13th with a time of 22:15.1. The Eagles finished in 5th with 34 points. On the girls side, Tayley Becker led the way with a 5th place finish and a time of 26:05.3. The team finished 4th with 34 points.
Dundy County Stratton--3200m Course:
Arapahoe: Campbell Schutz was the leader runner for the Warriors as he finished 7th with a time of 12:44 and Corbin Carpenter was 13th with a time of 13:42. Team was the 4th place finisher with 30 points. For the girls, River Einspahr placed 12th with a time of 16:50, the team finished 6th with 59 points.
Cambridge: Gavin Gunderson had a nice race finishing 2nd (12:10) while Dierks Sayer finished 11th in 13:33. The team finished 2nd with 28 points. Brenna Deterding led the way for the girls with a 2nd place finish (14:45), Kori Koeppen 4th (14:58), and Rachel Harris came in 7th with a time of 15:18. The team finished 2nd with 13 points.
Hitchcock County: The boys were paced by Kade Thiessen placing 15th with a time of 14:02. The team got 5th with 40 points. Chayse Keith paced the girls with a 6th place finish and a time of 15:12. Haley Hidy placed 15th with a time of 17:03. The team finished 5th with 38 points.
Southwest: The boys were led by Cole Barnett who placed 6th (12:33) and Austin Thompson came in 10th (13:32).
Wallace: Trey Robertson finished the race in 1st place with a time of 10:59. For the girls, Ashley Robertson led the way and also finished in 1st (14:30), Dajana Garrison 3rd (14:52), and Ryleigh Harrison 5th (15:06). The Wildcats placed 1st as a team with 9 points.
