For the Tigers of DCS, it has been two weeks since they last played. They are technically 1-1, based on our understanding. They were set to play Sedgwick County, but a scheduling issue prevented the game. The Tigers will be awarded a forfeit win because of the situation. Two weeks ago, the Tigers played against Hartington-Newcastle and lost 56-18. Of course, DCS is in Class D3, and Hartington-Newcastle is in D1. The Wildcats could also be a contender in Class D1. They were big, fast, and athletic.

The Tigers are averaging 173 rushing yards per game and 72 passing yards. Noah Zoltenko has 115 yards rushing and 70 yards receiving, with a couple of touchdowns this season. I will be curious to see how the Tigers get junior QB Breck Horner and RB/WR Trynt Unger more involved in the offensive game plan. Both have the ability to make big plays. The line play of Tel Donohue, Brock Bailey, Jack Johnson, and others will be critical.

On defense, watch for senior Brock Bailey and junior Tagen Yrkoski. Bailey is a defensive lineman and often makes plays in the backfield. He had six tackles two weeks ago, and four were for loss. For Yrkoski, he totaled seven tackles last week, and from his linebacker spot, he is all over the field.
The Tigers are in the D3-7 District with Bayard, Hyannis, Sutherland, and Wauneta-Palisade.
Cambridge is 2-0. The Trojans have shown they can run the ball at a high level. They are averaging 246 yards rushing and 74 yards passing. Braxton Mitchell has been excellent with 148 yards passing and 227 yards rushing. He had 7 total touchdowns.

Devan Rodriguez and Roy Hoelscher will be important pieces also for the Cambridge offense. Rodriguez has 115 yards and four touchdowns. Hoelscher has 204 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns. Cambridge's line play of Ben Harris, Myles Stanton, and Jak Rasmussen will be critical to the ground game.

Roy Hoelscher leads the team in tackling with 33 so far this season. Cambridge has forced turnovers this season: one interception and seven fumble recoveries.
Cambridge is in the D3-5 District with Axtell, Blue Hill, Overton, Pleasanton, and Southern Valley.
