On Friday, September 4th, 2026, the Hi-Line Bulls will take on the Bertrand Vikings at 7:00 P.M. CT.
For Hi-Line, they come into this game after losing to Wilcox-Hildreth 48-12. There were some bright spots in the defeat, as they identified a playmaker in the pass game, junior Traevyn Koch. He caught three passes for 129 yards for the Bulls.

Coach Ben Spiegel mentioned that QB senior Kane Cochrane would be out for the season with an injury. We wish him the best in his recovery. He threw for 147 yards and a touchdown.

Watch for their line play: Seniors Karter Tilson and Tucker Viter, and junior Jaxson Hood-Russell. All are solid players who will be key for the Bulls.
I will be curious to see if they can get the run game going better with a running back like junior Gage Rupp; you have to think that is a priority.

For Bertrand, they come in with a 0-1 record as well. Caden Holm is the new head coach for Bertrand. They fell to Hitchcock County 58-14. The Vikings are averaging 40 yards per game passing and 135 yards rushing per contest. Noah Nelson, a freshman, led the team in rushing as he totaled 66 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Drake Olesen will be a dual threat at the QB position.
Look for players like Payton Way, Chris Hock, Hunter Nelson, and others to play a big role for the Vikings.
