RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup Preview: Lewiston @ Medicine Valley

On Friday, October 30, 2026, the playoff season begins. Medicine Valley, the #6 seed in class D6, will host #11 seeded Lewiston in the first round of the playoffs. The game begins at 3:00 P.M. CT.
For the Raiders of Medicine Valley, they are looking to bounce back after a tough loss in overtime to Wallace last week. That was for a district championship, and they fell in the matchup by a score of 52-46. This is a really unique story, as the Raiders haven't made it to the playoffs since 2021. And not so long ago did they have some winless seasons as well. But right now they are 7-1, and looking for an opportunity to make their way to Kearney for the Class D6 state championship here in a few weeks.
ADVERTISEMENTS
This Medicine Valley offense is poised to have a big game once again, averaging 61.2 points per game. But this Lewiston defense is solid on that side, allowing just 16.4 points per contest. Also, for Medicine Valley, they are averaging 300.5 yards rushing, so we will see if Lewiston can slow down that rushing attack.
What might come down to in this matchup is the line play. Robby Phillips for Medicine Valley has been a key piece to what they do in the run game, and he will be once again this week. For the runners in Mason Roblee, Lucas Einspahr, and others, they will need solid blocking to make big plays on the offensive side, obviously.
ADVERTISEMENTS
This Lewiston team averages 176 yards rushing in about 112 yards passing this season, so they are a very balanced offense. We will see what this matchup looks like on Friday; it looks like it could be competitve battle.
