RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup Preview: Maxwell @ Southern Valley

On Friday, September 18th, 2026, Southern Valley will host Maxwell for a battle on the gridiron.
Maxwell enters this game with a 1-2 record. They got their first win of the season last week when they beat Hyannis 62-28. This team has found some success with the ground game. Last week, they rushed for 221 yards, including 93 from Brison Brewer, who had a couple of touchdowns too. Watch for Tayton Phillips, Griffon Flock, and Jagger Kleewein to be contributors on offense as well.
Owen Pagel is a big piece on defense, with 24 tackles and three sacks this season. Kale Dea has been tough as a defensive back, getting three interceptions this season.

Southern Valley is 2-1 this season. They lost their first two games before getting an opening-game win. Last week they fell to Deshler 36-34 in a close game. Hunter Lans is one of the best running backs in the RPAC. He has accumulated 354 yards rushing already this season. Sully Bantam and Hayden Lans are key contributors to the run game, too. Together, they've also combined for over 300 rushing yards. Houston Hunt, at QB, has 318 yards passing and five touchdowns. So the Eagles have some optionality on offense.

On defense, Hunter Lans leads the team with 25 tackles. The Eagles, though, have 11 athletes with at least 8 tackles. On the line, watch for Kyson Bose, Jaxen Fletcher, and Bennet Jorgenson to be key for the Eagles.
