On Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, the Hi-Line Bulls will host the Southwest Roughriders for a pair of basketball games. Let's preview the teams and the matchup.


Southwest Girls Basketball


  • Record: The Southwest Roughriders are 6-6 this season. They have dropped two in a row, but have won four of their last six games.

  • Head Coach: Shannon Lovin. This is his 2nd season as the head coach at Southwest. Has coached for a total of 14 years, a career record of 174-144.

  • The Roughriders are averaging 49.2 points per game.

  • On defense, they are holding opponents to 52.5 points per game.

  • Sophomore Aspen Billeter is the team's leading scorer and is having a monster season: nearly 23 points per game, 11 rebounds, two steals, and is shoting 43% from the field.

  • Head Coach: Len Fangmeyer, three years at Hi-Line.

  • The Bulls are averaging. 30.7 points per game on offense, so at times, scoring has been tough.

  • On defense, they have posted a solid number, allowing 47 points per game.

  • Senior Bentley Stubbs has been leading the scoring for the Bulls at 8.1 points per game. She is also grabbing 7.0 rebounds per game. She has had a strong season so far.

  • Olivia Wall is the team's second leading scorer. She is a junior and averages nearly seven points per game.

Southwest Boys Basketball


  • Record: 5-7. They have won four of their last six games.

  • Head Coach: Christian Arterburn, who has spent nine seasons as the head coach.

  • The margins of average victory/defeat for the Roughriders are close. They average 52.8 points per game and allow 52.8 points per game, too. They haven't played many close games, but the averages are notable.

  • Houston Billeter, a senior, is having a solid year, averaging 24.8 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game.
