RPAC RUNDOWN LAUNCHES

Updated: Aug 16, 2022

Best Boy Media announces the launch of their production, "RPAC Rundown." This will feature the coverage of all the teams in the RPAC. Myself Evan Jones, the owner, and main contributor, will provide insight on things happening in the RPAC with a blog and also a podcast.

I have experience in a variety of media realms and beginning this adventure covering the RPAC is exciting for me. I am a graduate of Cambridge Public Schools, Class of 2015. I then attended the University of Nebraska Kearney and in 2019 I graduated with degrees in Sports Communication and Sports Management.

While attending school I worked for KRVN and the Rural Radio Network out of Lexington, Nebraska. It was an amazing job with amazing people. After college I took a job in York, Nebraska within the Rural Radio Network at KTMX-Max Country and KAWL-KOOL Radio as their Sports and News Director.

In early 2021, my wife Mackenzie and I decided it was time for a change, and to get closer to home. We moved back to my hometown in Cambridge. We had no intentions to move back this way. It has been a dream come true to be back in Southwest Nebraska, living and growing with people I have known my whole life. With that being said, providing coverage of this fantastic conference is going to be a blast.

I am thankful that Alan Garey, the Co-Activities Director of the conference for bringing this opportunity to the RPAC Committee. To go along with that the Athletic Directors and Coaches thus far have been helpful so I appreciate that too.

I had the chance to get a couple of comments from Alan about the excitement of the 2022-2023 activity year. "A new school year brings opportunities for the student/athletes of the RPAC to compete on many platforms as well as get to know each other through participating in activities. It also allows for student/athletes of the membership to get into member school facilities and see what they are like," said Garey

When asked about any changes to RPAC events, Garey did mention the volleyball conference tournament has been changed a little. "The Volleyball Tournament will expand the format to a three-day event guaranteeing all member schools a minimum of two contests in the event."

It should be an exciting activity year in the RPAC and I look forward to bringing you the information and events happening on the RPAC Rundown.

Be watching on social media and on our website as Fall Season Previews are going to be trickling out as the sports season begins.
