The Southern Valley/Alma Saints had an incredibly busy week. They played in seven games and went 5-2.
McCook Triangular
The Saints went 2-0, beating both McCook and Chase County. In the McCook game, they won a close one, 2-1. The Saints had six hits and two errors. It was pitching dominance by the Saints, as Jorja Hammond went 4.1 innings and allowed one hit, one run, two walks, and four strikeouts. Mikah Schultz went 1.2 innings and allowed a hit and two strikeouts.
Then, when they played Chase County, they won 13-0 and finished in just 2 1/2 innings.
They scored 11 of the runs in the second inning. SVA had just two hits and accumulated nine hits. Mikah Schultz had a triple and two RBIs. Alexa Miller went 2.0 innings and allowed one hit, three walks, and four strikeouts. Anna Hamilton went one inning and allowed one walk and had one strikeout.

Double-Header Against Alliance
The Saints then hosted Alliance on Friday for two games. They won one of the matchups, 6-4. SVA trailed 4-0 heading to the bottom half of the sixth inning. Then the Saints scored six runs to win. Kaitlyn Bradley went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Ava Dunse went 2-for-2 with 1 RBI. Hayden Deyle went 7.0 innings and allowed five hits, four runs, only two earned, three walks, and 12 strikeouts. The team had five errors. Alliance had five hits and one error.

Then, in the second game, the Saints won 12-0. It took just three innings, and SVA had 12 runs on 11 hits and one error. Alexa Miller went 3.0 innings with three hits allowed and one strikeout. Schultz was 3-3 with four RBIs.
Holdrege Triangular
The Saints then played in the Holdrege Triangular. They fell to Kearney Catholic, 10-0. Deyle had the lone hit, for the Saints.

They lost to Alliance, 13-9. The main issue in the loss was 10 errors for the Saints. Schultz went 4.0 innings, allowing seven hits, nine runs, but only two earned, one walk, and two strikeouts. Bradley went 2-for-4 with an RBI; Schultz went 1-for-3 with two RBIs; Hammond was 3-for-3 with two RBIs; Deyle went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

SVA captured a win against Lexington, 1503. They won in 2 1/2 innings. SVA had nine hits and five errors. Bradley went 2-for-2 with 5 RBIs, a home run, and a triple. Deyle, Alexa Miller, Ava Dunse, Schultz, and Macy Johnson all collected hits.
Hammond went 3.0 innings and allowed two hits, three runs, none of them earned, and two strikeouts.
SVA is now 8-3 and will play Fillmore Central on 9/1 and then Chase County on 9/3.
