The weather forced the cancellation of the Best of the Midwest Track Meet, hosted at Sutherland, on Tuesday, so many teams had just one final tune-up before their district meets. District Information

The following are the qualifying standards for both Class C and D:

  • Individual Running Events

    • 1st and 2nd place in each event qualify for the state meet, plus the next 6 fastest times from non-qualifiers, no matter of place in the finals.

  • Relays

    • 1st place will qualify for the state meet, plus the next 7 fastest times of the non-qualifiers, no matter of place in a finals event.

  • Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, & Discus

    • 1st and 2nd place in each event qualify for the state meet, plus the next 6 best performances from non-qualifiers across all districts. If there is a tie for the final spot, all tied athletes will qualify.

  • Pole Vault and High Jump

    • 1st and 2nd place in each event will qualify for the state meet, plus all who equal or exceed the additional qualifier mark. The additional qualifier mark is determined by using the average height of the 8th-place finisher at the State Meet over the past 3 years.

      • Class C Boys

        • High Jump: 6'2"

        • Pole Vault: 12'8"

      • Class C Girls

        • High Jump: 5'1"

        • Pole Vault: 9'8"

      • Class D Boys

        • High Jump: 6'1"
