RPAC VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHUP SET


The RPAC Volleyball Tournament continued on Monday night from two locations. On the East side, in Cambridge and on the West side in Hayes Center.


EAST DIVISION


Southern Valley and Medicine Valley were the first to match up in Cambridge and it was the Eagles who prevailed. They didn't take much time as they took the first two sets quickly and won 2-0.


Then it Arapahoe and Alma who competed on the court and it was the Cardinals who took the match. They won two sets to none.


Then we had a battle between the Cambridge Trojans and the Southwest Roughriders in the semifinal matchup. It was Southwest who won in five sets after dropping the first two, 25-18 and 25-17, then the Roughriders reeled off three wins with the scores reading 25-21, 25-14, and 15-12. A fantastic match between these two rivals.


WEST DIVISION


On the West side, Hitchcock County and Maxwell took on one another to begin the day. It was Hitchcock who won two sets to one in the contest.


Paxton took care of Wauneta-Palisade quickly, winning in two sets. Audrey Holm had a nice match with 11 kills.


Maywood-Hayes Center then battled against Wallace in the semifinals. The Wolves swept the Wildcats winning 25-19,-25-18, and 25-11.


The Wolves will matchup against Southwest in the title game, looking for their third straight RPAC title.


The consolation matchup between Cambridge and Wallace will begin at 5:30 P.M. and the championship between Maywood-Hayes Center and Southwest will begin at 7:00 P.M. The matches will be played in at the McCook Community College Graff Events Center.
