Alma
The Cardinals traveled to Franklin on Tuesday for a triangular with Franklin and Red Cloud. Alma swept both teams 2-0. On Thursday, Alma hosted a triangular with Overton and Southwest. The Cardinals fell to both the Eagles and the Roughriders 2-0. Alma is now 16-7 on the season.
Arapahoe
On Tuesday, Arapahoe traveled to Loomis to battle the Wolves but fell 3-1. On Thursday they traveled to Medicine Valley for a triangular with the Raiders and Paxton. The Warriors fell to Medicine Valley 2-0 and fell to Paxton 2-0. On Friday, Arapahoe hosted Hi-Line and got the sweep as they defeated the Bulls 3-0. The Warriors are now 9-10 on the season.
Bertrand
The Vikings had a single match this week against Axtell on Tuesday. Bertrand fell 3-0 and were led by Brooklyn Evans with six kills and 12 digs. Leah Schutz posted 10 assists. Bertrand is now 5-13 on the year.
Cambridge
Cambridge had a busy week but it was a successful week. The Trojans started the week off with hosting a triangular on Tuesday with McCook and Cozad. Against Cozad, Cambridge won 2-0. Jalen Kent posted 12 kills, two aces, and six digs. Breelle Miller had 21 assists. The Trojans were then able to defeat McCook 2-0 as well. Erin Johnson led the Trojans with seven kills and two blocks. Cambridge hosted another triangular on Thursday with Hoxie, KS and Axtell. The Trojans were able to defeat Hoxie 2-0 and were led by Kent as she posted eight kills. In the 2-0 victory over Axtell, it was Johnson who led the way with seven kills. On Saturday, the Trojans traveled to Dundy County Stratton for their third triangular of the week with the Tiger as well as Maywood-Hayes Center. Against the Wolves, who were previously undefeated and also ranked #1 by the Omaha World Herald, Cambridge came away with the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14 and 25-17. The Trojans then defeated Dundy County Stratton 2-0 with set scores of 25-10 and 25-9. Cambridge improves to 20-1 on the season.
Dundy County Stratton
Dundy County Stratton fell to Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday 3-0. On Thursday, the Tigers traveled to Maxwell for a triangular with Sutherland and Maxwell. DCS fell to Maxwell 2-0 and to Sutherland 2-1. On Saturday they hosted Maywood-Hayes Center and Cambridge. The Tigers fell to both the Wolves and the Trojans 2-0. Dundy County Stratton is now 0-21 on the season.
Hitchcock County
On Saturday, Hitchcock County traveled to Oakley, KS for a tournament. The Falcons defeated Triplains/Brewster,KS 2-0, Oakley 2-1, Syracuse, KS 2-0, and then fell to Oakley in their second match-up of the day 2-0. Hitchcock County is 6-16 on the year.
Maxwell
Maxwell hosted Dundy County Stratton and Sutherland for a triangular on Thursday. The Wildcats took down Dundy County Stratton 2-0 and fell to Sutherland 2-0. They are now 3-18 on the year.
Maywood-Hayes Center
On Tuesday the Wolves traveled to Wallace for a triangular with the Wildcats and Brady. They took down Brady 2-0 and were led by Olivia Hansen with eight kills. The Wolves took down Wallace 2-1 and Hansen tallied 12 kills to lead the way. On Saturday, they traveled to Dundy County Stratton for a triangular with the Tigers and Cambridge. They defeated DCS 2-0 with set scores of 25-7 and 25-13. Maywood-Hayes Center then experienced their first loss of the season as they fell to Cambridge 2-0 with set scores of 25-14 and 25-17. The Wolves are now 17-1 on the season.
Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley hosted SEM on Tuesday and fell 3-0 and were led by nine kills from Stella Heapy. On Thursday, the Raiders hosted Arapahoe and Paxton for a triangular. Against Arapahoe, Medicine Valley won 2-0 and were led by Milla Farr as she tallied five kills. They then battled hard with Paxton but came up short as the Raiders fell 2-1. Heapy posted 12 kills in the match. Medicine Valley is now 11-5 on the season.
Paxton
On Tuesday's triangular at Sandhills/Thedford, the Tigers defeated the host 2-0 and were led by nine kills from Audrey Holm. Paxton also defeated Arthur County 2-0 and were led by Holm with 10 kills. On Thursday, Paxton traveled to Medicine Valley for a triangular. The Tigers defeated Arapahoe 2-0. Holm posted another 10 kills to lead the way for Paxton. In a tough battle with host, Medicine Valley, Paxton added another win to the win column with a 2-1 victory over the Raiders. Holm posted 18 kills in the match. The Tigers are 17-3 on the year.
Southern Valley
Southern Valley hosted Amherst on Tuesday and fell 3-1 with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-19, 25-21. The Eagles are 10-10 on the year.
Southwest
Southwest hosted a triangular with Decatur County, KS and St. Francis, KS on Tuesday. The Roughriders defeated St. Francis 2-0 behind Caylin Barnett's 12 kills, nine digs, one block, and two ace serves. Southwest defeated Decatur County 2-0 and were led by Barnett's nine kills and Bryn Lampe's 24 assists. On Thursday, Southwest traveled to Alma for a triangular with Alma and Overton. Against Overton, the Roughriders won 2-0 and Barnett posted 16 kills. In their 2-0 victory over Alma, it was again Barnett with 10 kills. Southwest is now 17-4 on the year.
Wallace
Wallace hosted a triangular on Tuesday with Brady and Maywood-Hayes Center. In their 2-0 win over Brady, the Wildcats were led by Karlie Finley with 10 kills. The Wildcats fell to Maywood-Hayes Center 2-1 and were led by Kendyl Flamming with 12 kills. On Friday, they traveled to take on Wauneta-Palisade and won 3-1. Wallace was led by Finely's 16 kills. The Wildcats are now 18-3 on the season.
Wauneta-Palisade
The Broncos traveled to Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday and came home with a 3-0 victory and were led by Peyton Cox with 10 kills. On Friday, they hosted Wallace and fell 3-1. Cox posted 22 kills in the match. Wauneta-Palisade is now 6-12 on the year.
