RPAC Volleyball Results as of 9/22

RPAC volleyball was busy last week with tournaments, triangulars, and duals. Check out how the week turned out in the blog!


Alma

Alma traveled to Cozad on Tuesday for a tournament with the Haymakers and Arapahoe.


Against Cozad, the Cardinals got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9 and 25-22. Tierston Moore and Vayden Epp each had eight kills in the match. Kamri Neal was strong from the service line with five aces. Moore added three blocks, Mercedes Garner had 10 digs, and Miley Whitney had 16 assists.


Alma swept the Warriors 2-0 with set scores of 25-20 and 25-22. Moore had 10 kills, Whitney had three aces, 11 digs, and 14 assists, and Neal added 12 digs.


The Cardinals hosted Phillipsburg, KS on Thursday for a dual and fell to the Panthers 3-1. Phillipsburg took the first two sets 25-16 and 25-13, Alma took set three 25-20, and the Panthers took set four 25-15 and the match, 3-1. Moore had 11 kills and 17 digs, Epp had 10 kills and 17 digs, Kamryn Scott had 13 digs, Neal had 19 digs, and Whitney had 10 digs and 27 assists.


On Saturday Alma traveled to Superior for a triangular with the Wildcats and Blue Hill.


Against Superior, Alma got the won the match 2-1 after dropping set one 25-14, and winning the next to 25-20 and 27-25 to take the match. Moore had 13 kills and Epp added eight kills. Neal had 11 digs and Whitney had 28 assists.


Against Blue Hill, the Cardinals took set one 25-16, dropped set two 25-21, and took set three 25-14 and the match 2-1. Moore had 17 kills, Epp had 10 kills, and Scott had nine kills in the match. Moore added four blocks, Whitney had 17 digs and 31 assists, Neal had 13 digs, and Garner had 12 digs.


Alma improved to 13-5 and will travel to Medicine Valley on Tuesday.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe went to Cozad on Tuesday for a triangular with Alma and the Haymakers.


Against Alma, the Warriors were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-20 and 25-22. Desi Farner and Clara Hilker each had five kills in the match. Sage Larson picked up eight digs and Rylee Bahe had eight assists.


Against Cozad, Arapahoe was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-21 and 25-13. Hilker had six kills and Grace Andrews had nine digs and seven assists.


Arapahoe hosted Bertrand and Southern Valley on Thursday for a triangular.


Against Southern Valley, Arapahoe dropped set one 25-13, won a big set two 33-31, and then fell in the deciding set, 29-27 and the match, 3-1. Farner had 11 kills and Sawyer Shafer and Hilker each had three aces. Farner had 15 digs, Bahe had 14 digs, Larson had 11 digs, and Suttyn Shafer had 10 digs. Bahe added 15 assists and Sawyer Shafer added 13 assists.


Against Bertrand, the Warriors got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 26-24 and 25-22. Farner and Cadence Carpenter each had six kills. Larson had 10 digs, Bahe had 10 digs, and Suttyn Shafer had 12 digs. Bahe also added 13 assists.


The Warriors are 4-10 and will host Southwest on Tuesday.


Bertrand

The Vikings hosted a triangular with South Loup and Brady on Tuesday.


Against South Loup, Bertrand got the 2-0 sweep winning set one 25-22 and dominating set two 25-9. Brooklyn Evans and Katelyn Evans each posted eight kills in the match. Bertrand posted eight aces in the match and Shelby Schoene led the team with four aces. B. Evans added 11 digs and Addison Andersen had 24 assists.


Against Brady, Bertrand lost set one 25-20, won set two 25-22, and dropped set three 30-28 and the match, 2-1. B. Evans had 18 kills and K. Evans added 10 kills. The Vikings picked up 98 digs as a team and B. Evans had 21 digs, K. Evans had 19 digs, Livia Philips had 19 digs, Gracie Hock had 15 digs, Schoene had 13 digs, and Andersen added 10 digs. Andersen also had 39 assists.


Bertrand traveled to Arapahoe for a triangular with the Warriors and Southern Valley on Thursday.


The Vikings dropped set one to Southern Valley 26-24 before taking the next two sets 25-18 and 25-17 and the match, 2-1. B. Evans posted 14 kills and 10 digs, K Evand and Schoene each had three aces, and Andersen had 29 assists.


Against Arapahoe, Bertrand was swept 2-0 with set scores of 26-24 and 25-22. K. Evans and Schoene each had five kills in the match, B. Evans had 16 digs, and Andersen had 16 assists.


Bertrand is 8-6 on the season and will host Franklin on Tuesday and host a tournament on Saturday.


Cambridge

Cambridge hosted Loomis on Tuesday for a dual. The Trojans dropped set one 25-11, won set two 26-24, and dropped sets three and four, 25-22 and 25-19, and the match 3-1. Erin Johnson led the team with 13 kills, 17 digs, and three aces and Joslyn Holtze added 10 kills, 12 digs, and three blocks. Chloe Gooden added 12 digs, Elisabeth Kubik had 11 digs, Mallory Springer added 10 digs, and Brooklyn Holtze had 10 digs. Springer added 32 assists.


Cambridge traveled to McCook for a tournament on Saturday and had three matches. They played Alliance, Chase County, and Decatur Community, KS.


Against Alliance, the Trojans won in sweeping fashion, 2-0. Against Chase County, Cambridge fell 2-1 and they defeated Decatur Community, KS 2-0.


Cambridge is now 8-7 and will host Southern Valley on Tuesday and travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday.

Dundy County Stratton

Dundy County Stratton traveled to Cheylin, KS for a dual on Thursday and came home with the sweep, 3-0, with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, and 25-19.


The Tigers competed at the NPCC tournament in North Platte on Saturday and had three matches. They faced Sutherland, Paxton, and Maxwell.


Against Sutherland, the Tigers got the 2-1 win.


Against Paxton, DCS won the first set 28-26, dropped set two 25-16, and took set three 25-17 to take the match, 2-1.


Against Maxwell, the Tigers took set one 25-16 and then dropped sets two and three 25-8 and 25-6 to fall in the match, 2-1.


Dundy County Stratton is 6-6 on the year and will travel to St. Francis, KS on Thursday.


Hi-Line

The Bulls traveled to Loomis for a triangular on Thursday where they faced the Wolves and Axtell.


Against Loomis, Hi-Line took set one 25-22, dropped set two 25-15, and dropped set three 25-17 to fall in the match, 2-1. Lauryn Ruda and Allison Wall each had nine kills in the match. Ruda added three aces and two blocks while Wall added four blocks. Rilee Schutz had three blocks and Ellaray Koch had two blocks as well. Bentley Stubbs had 11 digs and Koch added 23 assists.


Against Axtell, the Bulls were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-18 and 25-12. Ruda had five kills, Stubbs had nine digs, and Koch had 12 assists.

At the NPCC tournament on Saturday, the Bulls faced Sutherland, Paxton, and Cody-Kilgore.


Against Sutherland, Hi-Line was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-19 and 26-24. Wall had five kills, Kylee Kubery had three aces, Stubbs had 19 digs, Schutz had 15 digs, and Koch had 15 assists.


Against Paxton, the Bulls fell 2-1 after the dropped set one 25-20, won set two 25-23, and dropped set three 25-10. Ruda, Wall, and Viter each had six kills in the match, Stubbs had 16 digs, and Koch had 11 digs and 17 assists.


Against Cody-Kilgore, the Bulls got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 28-26 and 25-21. Wall had eight kills, Stubbs had 18 digs, Jaci Muegerl had 11 digs, and Koch had 13 assists.


Hi-Line is now 5-11 on the year and will travel to Maywood-Hayes Center for a tournament on Tuesday and travel to Amherst for a triangular on Thursday with Overton and Amherst.



Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County hosted Medicine Valley on Thursday for a dual and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-13. Riley Hagan and Kaiah Johnson each had nine kills in the match. The Falcons had 16 aces as a team and Hagan had five aces, Johnson had four aces, Jill McArthur had three aces, and Asia Homma had two aces. Madysen Carlson had five blocks in the match. McArthur had nine digs and Reese Tines had nine assists.


Hitchcock County is 3-8 on the year and will travel to Kansas on Tuesday for a triangular with Rawlins County, KS, and Wallace County, KS, host Bird City, KS, and travel to Sutherland on Saturday for a tournament.


Maxwell

Maxwell traveled to Overton on Tuesday where they were swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, and 28-26.


On Thursday, Maxwell hosted Brady and fell in five sets. The Wildcats took set one 25-14 and set two 25-13, dropped sets three, four, and five, with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, and 15-9 to fall 3-2. Jenna Miller had 14 kills and Kristyn Cheek had three aces. Kylee Wyman had 31 digs, Emory Christensen had 18 digs, Cheek had 14 digs, Victoria Quick had 13 digs, and Miller had 12 digs. Christensen added 29 assists to her stat line.


At the NPCC tournament on Saturday, the Wildcats played Dundy County Stratton, Hyannis, and SEM.


Against DCS, Maxwell dropped set one 25-16 before taking control of the match winning sets two and three 25-8 and 25-6 to take the match, 2-1. Miller had nine kills, Wyman had three aces and 16 digs, and Christensen had 24 assists.


The Wildcats got the 2-0 sweep over Hyannis with set scores of 25-13 and 25-17. Quick had six kills and four aces, Miller added three aces, Wyman had seven digs, and Christensen had 15 assists.


Maxwell was swept by SEM, 2-0, with set scores of 25-12 and 25-22. Miller had six kills, Quick had 10 digs, and Christensen had 16 digs and 15 assists.


Maxwell is 8-6 on the year and will travel to Sutherland on Thursday for a triangular with the Sailors and Cozad and will travel to Brady on Saturday for a tournament.

Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hayes Center hosted Hershey on Tuesday and got the 3-1 win. The Wolves took set one 26-24, set two 25-15, dropped set three 25-21, and took set four 25-17.


The Wolves traveled to Wauneta-Palisade for a dual on Thursday. MHC took set one 25-23, dropped set two 25-15 and set three 27-25, won set four 25-20 and set five 25-9 to take the match 3-2.


MHC is now 11-2 on the season and will host a tournament on Tuesday and travel to Holdrege for a tournament on Saturday.


Medicine Valley

Medicine Valley traveled to Creek Valley on Monday and won set one 25-19, dropped set two 26-24, won the third 25-19, lost the fourth set 25-21, and was able to take set five 26-14 and the match, 3-2. The Raiders had 21 aces as a team and were led by Oakley Stout with seven and Remmi Stout added four aces. R. Stout led the team with 13 kills, O. Stout had 11 digs, and Haylie Gustafson had 11 assists.


On Tuesday, Medicine Valley hosted Sandhills/Thedford and was swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-10, and 25-17. R. Stout had eight kills in the match, O. Stout had three blocks and eight digs, and Kamree Elsten had 11 assists.


On Thursday, the Raiders traveled to Hithcock County and were swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-13. R. Stout had four kills and 12 digs and Elsten had seven assists.


Medicine Valley is 2-9 on the year and will host Alma on Tuesday and Cambridge on Thursday.


Paxton

Paxton traveled to South Platte for a triangular on Tuesday with the Blue Knights and Perkins County.


Against South Platte, Paxton got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-13. Emmalee Nicholson had six kills in the match, Jaleigh Hansen and Reece Glinn each had three aces, Sarah Brott had two blocks, and Madison Hanson had 10 digs and 14 assists.


Against Perkins County, Paxton dropped set one 25-15, won set two 25-23, and dropped set three 25-19 and the match, 2-1. Nicholson had 10 kills, J. Hansen had three aces and 12 digs, and M. Hansen had 10 digs and 17 assists.


At the NPCC Tournament on Saturday, Paxton faced Hi-Line, Hyannis, and Dundy County Stratton.


Against Hi-Line, Paxton won the first set 25-20, lost set two 25-23, and won the third set 25-10 and the match, 2-1.


Against Hyannis, the Tigers won set one 25-19, lost set two 25-23, and won the third set 25-23 and the match, 2-1.


Against Dundy County Stratton, Paxton dropped set one 28-26, won set two 25-16, and lost the third set 25-17 and the match, 2-1.


Paxton is 7-9 on the season and will host a tournament on Tuesday and travel to Wallace on Thursday for a dual.


Southern Valley

The Eagles traveled to Arapahoe for a triangular with the Warriors and Bertrand on Thursday.


Against Bertrand, Southern Valley won the first set 26-24 and then dropped sets two and three 25-18 and 15-17 to fall in the match, 2-1.


Against Arapahoe, the Eagles won set one 25-15, dropped set two 33-31, and took set three 29-27 to win the match, 2-1.


Southern Valley traveled to Pleasanton on Saturday for a tournament and earned the tournament championship. They faced Fullerton, Osceola, and Arcadia/Loup City.


Against Fullerton, the Eagles won set one 25-15, lost set two 25-23, and won set three 25-16 to win the match, 2-1.


Southern Valley swept Osceola 2-0 with set scores of 25-23 and 26-24.


The Eagles swept Arcadia/Loup City 2-0 with set scores of 25-20 and 25-17.


Southern Valley is now 11-4 on the year and will travel to Cambridge for a dual on Tuesday and host a triangular with Wilcox-Hildreth and Axtell on Thursday.


Southwest

Southwest is on a roll as they hadn't dropped a single set this season until this week.


Southwest traveled to Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday for a dual and got the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, and 25-16. Kyra Nelms had 14 kills and Anikka Nelms added 12 kills. Atleigh Nelms had four aces and Aspen Billeter had three aces. Anikka Nelms added six blocks, Allison VanPelt had 10 digs, and Billeter added 34 assists.


On Saturday Southwest had three matches at the McCook tournament where they played Alliance, McCook, and Chase County. The Roughriders picked up the tournament championship. Congratulations are also in order for Coach Kim Barnett as she picked up her 200th career win at the tournament.


Against Alliance, Southwest got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-6 and 25-8. The Roughriders had nine aces in the match with VanPelt and Payton Truksa each having four aces. K. Nelms had eight kills and eight blocks, VanPelt had seven digs, and Billeter had 15 assists.


Against McCook, Southwest dropped their first set of the season 25-22 but bounced back and won the second and third sets 25-11 and 25-23 to win the match, 2-1. Atleigh Nelms led the team with 13 kills, and K. Nelms had nine kills and five blocks. Anastasia Gallegos had 14 digs, VanPelt had 11 digs, and Atleigh Nelms had 11 digs while Billeter added 27 assists.


Against Chase County, the Roughriders got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-16 and 25-23. K. Nelms and Atleigh Nelms each had nine kills in the match. VanPelt had eight digs and Billeter had 24 assists.


Southwest improves to 13-0 and will travel to Arapahoe on Tuesday for a dual and travel to Sutherland on Saturday for a tournament.

Sutherland

Sutherland hosted Wallace and Mullen for a triangular on Tuesday.


Against Wallace, Sutherland got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-16. Reese Erbert led the team with 11 kills and 5 blocks, Payten Weber had three aces, and Gracyn Elfeldt had 18 assists.


Against Mullen, Sutherland fell in set one 25-23 and won sets two and three 25-22 and 25-12 to win the match 2-1. Mahala Vasquez had 11 kills and 18 digs while Fallyn Elfeldt had 18 digs, G. Elfeldt had 11 digs, and Erbert had 10 digs. G. Elfeldt added 17 assists.


The Sailors played in the NPCC tournament on Saturday and played Dundy County Stratton, Hi-Line, and SEM.


Against DCS, the Sailors fell 2-1.


Against Hi-Line, Sutherland got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-19 and 26-24. Erbert had 12 kills, G. Elfeldt had three aces and 18 assists, F. Elfeldt had 14 digs, and Weber had 11 digs.


Sutherland was swept by SEM, 2-0, with set scores of 25-19 and 25-12. Erbert had four kills, G. Elfeldt had 12 digs and eight assists, and Vasquez had 10 digs.


Sutherland is 6-9 in the year and will host a triangular with Cozad and Maxwell on Thursday and a tournament on Saturday.


Wallace

Wallace traveled to Sutherland for a triangular on Tuesday and played the Sailors and Mullen.


Against Sutherland, the Wildcats were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-15 and 25-16. Reagan Finley led the team with six kills and 12 digs, Mariana Aceves-Lopez had 11 digs, and Kaley Sauser had 11 digs and nine assists.


Against Mullen, Wallace was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-15 and 25-16. Mallory McConnell had seven kills and 10 digs, Finley had 12 digs, and Sauser had 12 assists.


Wallace is now 8-5 on the season and will travel to Paxton on Tuesday for a tournament and host Paxton on Thursday.




Wauneta-Palisade

Wauneta-Palisade hosted Southwest on Tuesday for a dual and was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, and 25-16.


On Thursday, the Broncos hosted Maywood-Hayes Center and it took five sets to find a winner. MHC took set one 25-23, Wauneta-Palisade took set two 25-15 and set three 27-25, and then fell in set four 25-20 and set five 25-9 to fall in the match 3-2.


The Broncos are now 7-5 on the year and will travel to Paxton on Tuesday for a tournament and Bertrand on Saturday for a tournament.
