RPAC Volleyball Results as of 9/28

Another busy week for some on the volleyball court, while other teams just had a single match. Crazy to think that October starts this week, but it does! The RPAC Tournament is now on the horizon, and teams will start to gear up for that. Check out the blog!

Alma


On Tuesday, Alma hosted Medicine Valley for a dual and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-21. Tierston Moore had 15 kills and eight digs; Vayden Epp had 10 kills and six digs; Abbie Pool had seven digs and 12 assists; Kamri Neal had nine digs; and Kamryn Scott had 19 assists.


The Cardinals only had the one match this week and improved to 9-10. On Tuesday, Alma will travel to Franklin for a triangular with Red Cloud and the Flyers, and will host Southwest and Overton for a triangular on Thursday.


Arapahoe


On Tuesday, Arapahoe traveled to take on Southwest and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-16. Emma Strand had 12 kills and three digs; Clara Hilker had 10 kills; Suttyn Shafer had nine digs; Taytum Roskop had nine digs; Chloe Gooden had six digs; and Suttyn Shafer had 12 digs and 21 assists.


The Warriors fell to 8-7 and will host Loomis on Tuesday, then travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday for a triangular with the Raiders and Paxton.


Bertrand


The Vikings traveled to Franklin for a dual on Tuesday and won the first set, 25-20, and then lost the next three sets, 25-22, 25-18, and 25-13 to lose the match, 3-1. No stats have been posted yet -- As soon as they are available, we will update the blog.


The Vikings hosted a tournament on Saturday and had three matches against Kenesaw, Pleasanton, and Loomis.


Against Kenesaw, Bertrand was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-15 and 25-16. No stats have been posted yet -- As soon as they are available, we will update the blog.


Against Pleasanton, the Vikings were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-20 and 25-18. No stats have been posted yet -- As soon as they are available, we will update the blog.


Against Loomis, the Wolves took set one 27-25, and Bertrand took sets two and three with set scores of 25-20 and 25-18 to win the match, 2-1. No stats have been posted yet -- As soon as they are available, we will update the blog.


Bertrand is 3-15 and will host Axtell on Tuesday.



Cambridge


Cambridge traveled to Southern Valley on Tuesday for a triangular with the Eagles and Loomis.


Against Southern Valley, Cambridge earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14 and 25-12. Brooklyn Holtze had eight kills, two aces, four digs, and seven assists; Mallory Springer had five kills, three aces, five digs, and eight assists; Elisabeth Kubik had three aces and five digs; and Annabelle Taylor had seven digs.


Against Loomis, the Trojans earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-22 and 25-15. Holtze had eight kills, 10 digs, and five assists; Springer had eight kills, eight digs, and 11 assists; Joslyn Holtze had six kills, two aces, and five digs; Kubik had seven digs; Kolbryn Clason had five digs; and Taylor had eight digs.


On Thursday, Cambridge hosted Medicine Valley. The Trojans earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14, 25-2, and 25-16. B. Holtze had 12 kills, three aces, and 10 assists; J. Holtze had seven kills and 10 digs; Springer had six kills, six digs, and 15 assists; Kubik had five kills, six aces, and seven digs; Taylor had three digs and four aces; and Clason had three aces and five digs.


The Trojans are 14-4 and will host McCook and Cozad for a triangular on Tuesday, and will travel to Maywood-Hayes Center on Friday.

Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers hosted St. Francis, KS, on Thursday. DCS earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, and 25-13. Emily Schack had eight kills, five aces, and 12 digs; Clara Spargo had seven kills and five digs; Ava Lutz had six kills and three aces; Abi Spargo had four kills, five blocks, and four digs; and Bree Lutz had two aces, five digs, and 20 assists.


DCS is now 11-2 and will travel to Wauneta-Palisade for a triangular with the Broncos and Northern Valley, KS, on Tuesday. They will then travel to Decatur Community, KS, for a tournament on Saturday.


Hi-Line


Hi-Line started their week at the Maywood-Hayes Center tournament on Tuesday.


Against Arthur County, the Bulls lost the first set 25-23 but then won sets two and three, 25-22 and 25-18, to take the match, 2-1. RiLee Schutz had 11 kills, two aces, and 10 digs; Lauryn Ruda had nine kills and two blocks; Klaire Pohl had two aces, five digs, and 14 assists; Kylee Kubert had two aces and six digs; and Bentley Stubbs had eight digs.


Against Maywood-Hayes Center, Hi-Line was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-6 and 25-11. Ruda had six kills; Schutz had six digs; Stubbs had five digs; and Pohl had nine assists.


Hi-Line traveled to the Brady tournament on Saturday and had three matches with Brady, South Platte, and Twin Loup.


Against Brady, the Bulls lost set one, 25-15, won set two, 25-20, and lost the third set, 25-10, losing the match, 2-1. Ruda had eight kills and four digs; Pohl had two aces, five digs, and 15 assists; Schutz had nine digs; Piper Puls had seven digs; and Kubert had six digs.


Against South Platte, Hi-Line earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 29-27. Ruda had nine kills; Schutz had six kills and 11 digs; Kubert had four aces and nine digs; Pohl had seven digs and 11 assists; Stubbs had nine digs; and Piper Puls had eight digs.


Against Twin Loup, the Bulls earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-23 and 25-23. Ruda had 14 kills; K. Pohl had two aces, six digs, and 15 assists; Schutz had two aces and 15 digs; Kubert had three aces and four digs; and Stubbs had eight digs.


Hi-Line is 7-12 and will host Wallace on Thursday.



Hitchcock County


The Falcons traveled to Rawlins County, KS, for a triangular with Rawlins County and Wallace County.


Against Wallace County, the Falcons took set one, 25-21, lost set two, 25-20, and won the third set, 25-21, to win the match, 2-1. Madysen Carlson had 14 kills, two aces, and two blocks; Asia Homma had eight kills, three aces, and 16 digs; Riley Hagan had seven kills, two aces, and six digs; Kalissa Hagan had five digs and 11 assists; Emma Hagan had two aces and five digs; and Jayda Wood had eight digs and 17 assists.


Against Rawlins County, the Falcons took set one 25-14 but lost the next two sets, 25-16 and 25-21, to lose the match 2-1. Carlson had 13 kills; R. Hagan had six kills, two aces, and 16 digs; K. On Thursday, Hitchcock County traveled to Cheylin, KS, for a dual. The Cougars took set one 25-22, while the Falcons took sets two and three with set scores of 25-21 and 30-28. However, the Cougars took sets four and five with set scores of 25-20 and 15-11 to defeat the Falcons, 3-2. R. Hagan had 13 kills, two aces, and 23 digs; Cook had 12 kills, four blocks, and eight digs; Carlson had 12 kills, two aces, four blocks, and four digs; Homma had 11 kills, three aces, and 21 digs; E. Hagan had three aces and 12 digs; K. Hagan had 15 digs and 25 assists; and Wood had 17 digs and 20 assists.


On Saturday, Hitchcock County traveled to Sutherland for a tournament, where they had three matches against Chase County, Southwest, and Hyannis.


Against Hyannis, the Falcons earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-12. Carlson had 10 kills and two aces; Homma had seven kills, two aces, and seven digs; R. Hagan had eight digs; K. Hagan had nine digs and 14 assists; E. Hagan had five digs; Cook had five digs; and Wood had nine assists.


Against Southwest, Hitchcock County lost the first set 25-16, won the second set 25-23, and lost the third set 25-12, ultimately losing the match 2-1. Carlson had 10 kills and three blocks; Homma had nine kills and 16 digs; R. Hagan had 16 digs; K. Hagan had 18 digs and five assists; Wood had 11 digs and 16 assists; and Cook had nine digs.


Against Chase County, the Falcons were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-18 and 25-8. Carlson had five kills; R. Hagan had eight digs; Wood had nine digs and eight assists; and Homma had 12 digs.


The Falcons are 5-13 and will travel to Rawlins County, KS, for a dual on Monday, and will travel to Oakley,KS, for a tournament on Saturday.

Maxwell


Maxwell traveled to Cozad on Thursday for a triangular with the Haymakers and Sutherland.


Against Sutherland, Maxwell took set one, 25-14, lost set two, 25-16, and won the third set, 25-17, winning the match, 2-1. Kristyn Cheek had 17 kills and six digs; Emory Christensen had 10 kills, two blocks, eight digs, and 26 assists; Rylynn Quick had seven kills and two blocks; Madelyn Flock had five digs; Kylee Wyman had five digs; and Madelynn Nelson had nine digs.


Against Cozad, the Wildcats were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-21 and 25-16. Cheek had six kills and 10 digs; Jayda Frederick had three blocks; Christensen had 11 digs and seven assists; and Nelson had seven digs.


On Saturday, the Wildcats traveled to Brady for a tournament. Maxwell had three matches against Anselmo-Merna, Sandhills Valley, and Brady.


Against Sandhills Valley, the Wildcats earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9 and 25-17. Cheek had seven kills, four aces, and six digs; Frederick had four blocks; Christensen had four blocks, five digs, and nine assists; Quick had two aces; Nelson had seven digs; and Flock had seven digs.


Against Anselmo-Merna, Maxwell earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18 and 25-11. Christensen had four kills, three blocks, six digs, and seven assists; Nelson had four aces and four digs; Cheek had three aces and six digs; and Flock had five digs.


Against the host, Brady, the Wildcats were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-15 and 25-23. Cheek had 11 kills and six digs; Christensen had seven kills, six digs, and 13 assists; Nelson had 13 digs; and Flock had five digs.


Maxwell is 10-8 and will host Mullen on Friday.



Maywood-Hayes Center

The Wolves hosted a tournament on Tuesday and played South Platte and Hi-Line.


Against South Platte, MHC earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-4 and 25-14. Caylie Softley had 12 kills, four aces, and five digs; Karissa Stengel had five kills, five digs, and 15 assists; Addison Richards had three blocks; Blayklee Farr had five digs; Ensley Lawless had nine digs; Harli Cox had five digs; and Jaylee Sellers had eight assists.


Against Hi-Line, the Wolves earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-6 and 25-21. Richards had seven kills; Farr had six kills and four digs; Stengel had five kills, four digs, and 16 assists; Softley had five kills, three aces, and eight digs; Lawless had five digs; and Sellers had 11 assists.


On Saturday, Maywood-Hayes Center traveled to Holdrege for a tournament. The Wolves had three matches against McCook, Hastings St. Cecilia, and Amherst.

Against Amherst, MHC lost the first set 25-17, won the second set 25-22, and lost the third set 25-23, losing the match 2-1.


The Wolves are now 15-6 and will travel to Wallace on Tuesday for a triangular with the Wildcats and Brady, and will host Cambridge on Friday.

Medicine Valley


The Raiders traveled to Alma on Tuesday and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-21. Kamree Elsten had five kills, eight digs, and four assists; Oakley Stout had nine digs; TeeJay Hildebrandt had eight digs; and Gracie Johns had five assists.


On Thursday, Medicine Valley traveled to Cambridge to take on the Trojans. The Raiders were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-14, 25-2, 25-16. Stout had seven kills and five digs; Kenley Cole had six digs; Hildebrandt had five digs; Elsten had five assists; and Johns had six assists.


Medicine Valley is now 1-12 and will travel to Sandhills Valley on Monday for a triangular with Sandhills Valley and Perkins County, and will host a triangular on Thursday with Paxton and Arapahoe.


Paxton


Paxton hosted a tournament on Tuesday, facing Wauneta-Palisade and Potter-Dix.


Against Potter-Dix, the Tigers came away with the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-15. Addison Holm had six kills, four aces, and four digs; Cayla Peterson had five aces; Jakcee Mitchell had six digs; Hadleigh Kramer had seven digs and 15 assists; and Reece Glinn had five digs.


Against Wauneta-Palisade, Paxton took set one 25-21, lost set two 25-22, and won the third set 25-23, to win the match, 2-1. Mitchell had 13 kills and 14 digs; Holm had 10 kills, four aces, and 13 digs; Peterson had two aces and six digs; Glinn had two blocks and 13 digs; Jaleigh Hansen had 16 digs; and Kramer had 12 digs and 29 assists.


On Thursday, Wallace traveled to Paxton and the Tigers earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, and 25-11. Holm had 15 kills, two blocks, and seven digs; Mitchell had 12 kills, four aces, and seven digs; Hansen had six kills, seven aces, and 11 digs; Glinn had six kills and nine digs; and Kramer had three aces, five digs, and 36 assists.


Paxton is 12-7 and will travel to Sandhills/Thedford for a triangular with Arthur County and Sandhills/Thedford, and will travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday for a triangular with the Raiders and Arapahoe.


Southern Valley


The Eagles had a busy week with two triangulars and a tournament last week. They started off by hosting a triangular match with Cambridge and Loomis.


Against Loomis, the Eagles were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-20 and 25-21. Tori Bose had eight kills and eight digs; Cali Santifer had five digs; Sophia Cunningham had eight digs; and Emercen Lovitt had 11 assists.


Against Cambridge, Southern Valley was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-14 and 25-12. Bose had six kills and six digs; Santifer had five digs; Cunningham had 11 digs; and Lovitt had 10 assists.


On Thursday, Southern Valley traveled to Axtell for a triangular with the Wildcats and Wilcox-Hildreth.


Against Axtell, the Eagles were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-14 and 25-17. Bose had five kills and seven digs; Lauren Quinn had eight digs; Santifer had eight digs; and Lovitt had six digs and 10 assists.


Against Wilcox-Hildreth, Southern Valley earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 28-26 and 25-23. Bose had 13 kills, three aces, and four digs; Quinn had six digs; Santifer had seven digs; Cunningham had eight digs; and Lovitt had two aces, six digs, and 17 assists.


On Saturday, Southern Valley traveled to Hampton for the H&H (Hampton & Heartland) Tournament, where they played three matches against Mead, High Plains, and Deshler.


Against Mead, Southern Valley won the first set, 25-23, lost the second set 25-15, and won the third set 25-23, to win the match 2-1. Bose had 12 kills, four aces, three blocks, and 15 digs; Quinn had six kills and eight digs; Horwart had five kills and two blocks; Lovitt had two aces and 19 assists; Santifer had six digs; and Cunningham had six digs.


Against High Plains, the Eagles won the first set 25-20 but lost the second and third sets 25-16 and 25-21, ultimately losing the match 2-1. No stats have been posted yet -- As soon as they are available, we will update the blog.

Southwest


Southwest hosted Arapahoe on Tuesday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-16. Kyra Nelms had 15 kills, two blocks, and eight digs; Anikka Nelms had 13 kills and 14 digs; Lacie Houser had five kills; Bellamie Stritt had 12 digs; and Aspen Billeter had two aces, seven digs, and 26 assists.


On Saturday, Southwest traveled to Sutherland for a tournament and played three matches against Sutherland, Hitchcock County, and Overton.


Against Sutherland, the Roughriders earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-8. K. Nelms had 17 kills and three aces; A. Nelms had 11 kills; Caitlyn Adams had seven digs; Stritt had five digs; and Billeter had 10 digs and 23 assists.


Against Hitchcock County, the Roughriders took set one 25-16, lost the second set 25-23, and won the third set 25-12 to win the match, 2-1. A. Nelms had 16 kills and 17 digs; K. Nelms had 16 kills, three blocks, and 12 digs; Adams had two aces and 23 digs; Stritt had 10 digs; and Billeter had 13 digs and 32 assists.


In the final match of the tournament against Overton, Southwest was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-9 and 26-24. K. Nelms had seven kills; A. Nelms had five kills and seven digs; and Billeter had 11 assists.


Southwest is 15-2 and will host a triangular on Tuesday with St. Francis, KS, and Decatur Community, KS. They will then travel to Alma for a triangular with the Cardinals and a rematch against Overton.

Sutherland


On Thursday, Sutherland traveled to Cozad for a triangular with the Haymakers and Maxwell.


Against Cozad, the Sailors were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-14 and 25-11. Kate Dyer had five kills; Jali Martinez had seven digs; Keeley Dempcy had six digs; and Drew Rotert had eight digs and nine assists.


Against Maxwell, Sutherland lost set one 25-14, won set two 25-16, and lost the third set 25-1, losing the match 2-1. Leah Harper had eight kills; Dyer had seven kills and two aces; Eliana Dyer had six kills; Macradee Lantis had 10 digs; Martinez had nine digs; Dempcy had 13 digs; and Rotert had five digs and 22 assists.


On Saturday, Sutherland hosted their tournament and had three matches. The Sailors had three matches against Southwest, Hyannis, and South Loup.


Against Southwest, the Sailors were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-17 and 25-8. Addisyn Gunderson had three kills; Addison Arvdal had two blocks; Lantis had eight digs; Dempcy had seven digs; and Rotert had eight digs and nine assists.


Against Hyannis, Sutherland won the first set 25-20, and lost the second and third sets 25-21 and 25-14 losing the match, 2-1. K. Dyer had eight kills and two blocks; Harper had four aces; Martinez had two aces; Dempcy had 10 digs; Lantis had five digs; and Rotert had eight digs and 15 assists.

Wallace


Wallace traveled to Paxton on Tuesday for a tournament where they faced Wauneta-Palisade and Potter-Dix.


Against Potter-Dix, Wallace earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-13 and 25-10. Reagan Finley had eight kills; Kaley Sauser had seven kills, two aces, six digs, and five assists; Allyson Kemp had three aces; Mariana Aceves-Lopez had six digs and 10 assists; and Briseyda Vazquez had five digs.


Against Wauneta-Palisade, the Wildcats were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-16 and 25-17. Finley had eight kills; Sauser had seven kills, two aces, six digs, and five assists; Kemp had three aces; Aceves-Lopez had 10 digs and five assists.


On Thursday, Wallace traveled to Paxton for a dual. The Wildcats were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, and 25-11. Finely had five kills and 10 digs; Sauser had eight digs and five assists; Maddison Gartrell had nine digs; Aceves-Lopez had 10 digs and four assists; and Vazquez had 13 digs.


Wallace is 4-12 and will host a triangular on Tuesday with Brady and Maywood-Hayes Center, and travel to Hi-Line on Thursday.


Wauneta-Palisade


On Tuesday, Wauneta-Palisade traveled to Paxton for a tournament and faced Wallace and Paxton.
