It was a full week on the mats as many teams got back into the swing of things from the Holiday Break. Let's check out last week's results!

Alma

Girls

The Cardinals competed in the Franklin Invite on Friday and had a solid outing, tying for 6th with 62 points.


At 125 pounds, Abby Dubbs placed 4th to Khloe Pomplun of Doniphan-Trumbull by tech fall. Ava Dunse placed 3rd at 145 pounds, defeating Autumn Johnson of Minden by fall and Viviene Miller of Neligh-Oakdale by fall in the round-robin format. At 170 pounds, Josa Dunse had an excellent day, placing 1st, defeating Lillyan Kent of Red Cloud/Blue Hill by fall in 2:21. At 235 pounds, Kamille Goedert placed 3rd to Skylar Cool of Superior and Bree Bartak of Neligh-Oakdale, both by fall.


Boys

Alma attended the Franklin Invite on Saturday and placed 11th with 29 points.


At 120 pounds, Tayvion Sharp placed 3rd over Korbyn Kroeger of Ellis by fall in 2:25. Josh Russell placed 4th at 126 pounds, losing in an ultimate tie breaker 7-6, to William Martiez of Kearney Blue.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe attended the Wilber-Clatonia Dual Tournament on Friday. The Warriors finished 3rd overall as a team.


In match one of round one, Arapahoe lost to Milford, 49-26.

  • Gavin Andrews defeated Ryan Gurnsey of Milford by fall in 1:15 at 106 pounds.

  • At 120 pounds, Wyatt Blickenstaff defeated Caleb Kempf of Milford by fall in 3:32.

  • Jonny Kohout defeated Thomas Magorian by fall in 1:12 at 126 pounds.

  • At 132 pounds, Kellen Lovitt of Milford defeated Rigley McDonals by fall in 1:46.

  • At 285 pounds, Downey defeated Like Kollars of Norfolk Catholic by fall in 1:10.


Bertrand

Bertrand attended the Burwell Invite on Friday and placed 12th with 43.5 points.


At 132 pounds, Drake Olesen was the lone Viking to medal, placing 4th, falling to Phillip Titkmeier of Loomis by fall in 2:25.



Cambridge

Cambridge attended the Amherst Invite on Saturday and placed 5th with 93.5 points.


At 138 pounds, Devan Rodriguez continues his strong season, placing 3rd over Darian Hernandez of Gibbon by a 10-7 decision. Micah Gerlach bounced back from an early defeat and placed 3rd at 150 pounds over Prestin Horwart of Southern Valley by major decision, 14-5. At 157 pounds, Kaden Klumpe placed 4th to Zack Roach of Amherst by major decision, 14-1. Colton Perks had a solid tournament, placing 1st at 165 pounds after securing tech falls in all his matches.


Dundy County Stratton

Girls

Dundy County Stratton attended the Garden County Invite on Saturday and placed 9th with 31 points.


At 120 pounds, Adeya Hanes placed 4th to Ashlyn Wolff of Sedgwick County/Fleming by fall in 2:01. Kirah Baker placed 2nd at 145 pounds, falling to Kirsten Heck of Gordon-Rushville on 2:57.


Boys

Dundy County Stratton attended the Garden County Invite on Saturday and placed 18th with 17 points.


At 175 pounds, Aiden Kane fell in the consolation semifinals to Anthony Arredondo of Overton in 3:52.

Girls

Hi-Line competed in the Sidney Invite on Friday and placed 21st with 21 points.


At 190 pounds, Emily Robinson placed 5th over Anna Kroeger of Ogallala by fall in 0:47.


Boys

Hi-Line attended the Amherst Invite on Saturday and placed 8th with 77.5 points. It was a big meet as Connor Edwards and Grady Schutz both clinched their 100th career wins. Congratulations, Connor and Grady!


At 120 pounds, Connor Edwards placed 2nd to Adryck Stewart of Plainview by fall in 0:27. Grady Schutz placed 3rd at 144 pounds over Reuben Reyes of Gibbon by fall in 0:59. At 285 pounds, Tucker Viter placed 3rd over Craig Bunger of Wilcox-Hildreth by fall in 0:08.


Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County attended the Franklin Invite on Saturday and placed 2nd with 135.5 points.


At 132 pounds, Solomon Hare placed 4th to Michael Glore of Hastings by tech fall. Brody Hubl placed 4th at 144 pounds to Owen McLaughlin of Thayer Central by fall in 2:21. At 165 pounds, Dylan Kollmorgan wrestled well, placing 2nd to Breckyn Collins of North Platte St. Pat's by fall in 1:38. Jaret Neben placed 2nd at 175 pounds to Kaden Thornburg of Kearney Gold by fall in 2:44. At 190 pounds, Karson Hubl placed 2nd to Kyler Boyles of Superior by fall in 0:52. At 215 pounds, Karson Shuler kept up his strong season, placing 1st defeateing Thatcher Whiting of Kearney Gold by fall in 2:30 and Marcus Owens placed 3rd over David Hodges of Superior by fall in 2:39. Jayden Loghry placed 2nd at 285 pounds to Cole Vorderstrasse of Thayer Central by fall in 0:37.

Girls

Maxwell attended the Garden County Invite on Saturday and placed 11th with 23 points.


At 120 pounds, Ceann McIntosh placed 2nd to Morgan Amateis of Bridgeport by fall in 3:08.


Boys

Maxwell attended the Garden County Invite on Saturday and placed 12th with 44 points.


At 190 pounds, Trevor Manka placed 2nd to Daden Beauprez of Yuma by a 5-3 decision. Colt Gosnell placed 1st at 190 pounds, defeating Ernesto Perez of Perkins County by fall in 0:45.

At 190 pounds, Skylar Johnson placed 2nd, falling to Addison Arvdal of Sutherland in 1:28.


Paxton attended the Garden County Invite on Saturday and placed 17th with 17.5 points.

Girls

Southern Valley/Arapahoe traveled to Malcolm on Friday and placed 7th as a team with 98 points.


Cali Santifer did well, placing 1st at 100 pounds, defeating Nurto Salat of Omaha Bryan by fall in 3:25. At 110 pounds, Laney Becker placed well, 2nd to Abby Negley of Cozad by fall late in the match, 5:02. Becker is 20-2 on the year. Hayley Serfontein continues to roll as she remains unbeaten, 21-0, defeating Danica Watts of Blue River by major decision, 12-0.


Boys

Southern Valley attended the Amherst Invite on Saturday and placed 9th with 77 points.


At 106 pounds, Bryton Stalder placed 1st defeating Wyatt Anderson of Amherst by a 3-0 decision. Prestin Horwart placed 4th to Micah Gerlach of Cambridge by major decision, 14-5, at 150 pounds. At 157 pounds, Hayden Lans placed 2nd to Rogelio Hernandez of Gibbon by a 9-5 decision. Keaton Broeker placed 4th at 165 pounds, falling to Jaxon Graham of Amherst in 1:31.



Southwest

Girls

Southwest competed in the Sidney Invite on Friday and placed 4th with 102 points.


At 100 pounds, Capri Sayer placed 1st, defeating Rileigh Dane of Gering by fall in 2:28 to improve to 23-3 on the year. Sayer has put together a good 2025-2026 campaign thus far. Alyssa Koch placed 3rd at 115 pounds, defeating Braylin Gibson of Alliance by fall in 0:47, and improved to 22-10. At 125 pounds, Tori Hutchinson placed 4th to Lucy Tretter of Bridgeport. Kenley Springer placed 4th at 135 pounds, falling to her three opponents in the round robin format. At 155 pounds, Adesha Escobar Salas placed 4th, falling to Rebecca Koski of Kimball in 1:45. At 235 pounds, Natalie Koetter placed 2nd to Madelyn Tryon by fall in 1:03.

Southwest attended the Amherst Invite on Saturday and placed 14th with 20 points.

At 105 pounds, Saviana Carrizales placed 1st, defeating Alexie Solis of Alliance by fall in 5:34. Ensley Lawless placed 2nd at 125 pounds, falling to Kaydence McKee of Gering in 0:43. Amya Keenan placed 3rd at 235 pounds, falling to Natalie Koetter of Southwest and Madelyn Tryon of Southwest.


Boys

Wauneta-Palisade attended the Summerland Invite on Saturday and placed 8th as a team with 58 points.


At 175 pounds, David Bryner placed 3rd, defeating Joziha Baldwin of Battle Creek JV by fall in 1:50. Kreyton Wiese placed 2nd at 190 pounds, falling to Bryce Rasmussen of Ravenna in 1:57. At 215 pounds, Colton Koetter placed 4th to Parker Aaberg of Fullerton by an 11-7 decision.
