The RPAC boys wrestling teams wrapped up their regular seasons while the RPAC girls competed in their sub-districts for a chance to qualify for district meets this week. See how the wrestlers did in the blog below.

Alma

Josh Russell placed 3rd over Tayson Guerra of Wichita County at 106 pounds. Tucker Brandyberry placed 1st at 113 pounds as he defeated Korey Poppe of Sutton by fall in 2:34. Alek Molzahn placed 2nd to Griffin Bergen of Sutton at 165 pounds. Jeremy Felix placed 1st at 190 pounds over Jake Hodson of Red Cloud/Blue Hill by major decision 13-1.


Arapahoe

Briggs Hill defeated Tanner McLain of Hitchcock County by an 8-2 decision at 132 pounds. At 144 pounds, Titus Goshert placed 4th to Gage Rasser of Red Cloud/Blue Hill by a 3-1 decision. Grayson Koller placed 4th at 150 pounds to Josiah Pattangall of Oberlin by fall in 3:52. Rafe Hill placed 1st at 157 pounds over Owen Hessel of Maxwell by fall in 3:32 and Carrick McCorkle placed 4th to Jacob Leighton of Maxwell by fall in 0:58.


Bertrand

At 150 pounds, Rhett Brown lost in the consolation semi-finals to Josiah Pattangall of Oberlin by fall in 2:59.



Cambridge

At 175 pounds, Tye Stanton placed 2nd to Garrett Emigh of Oberlin by fall in 2:07.


Dundy County Stratton

At 190 pounds, Blake Emig fell in the third round of the consolation bracket to Makalai Camacho of North Platte by fall in 1:23.


Hitchcock County

Dylan Kollmorgen placed 4th at 126 pounds as he fell to Ty Davis of North Platte in 0:39. Tanner McLain lost to Briggs Hill of Arapahoe by an 8-2 decision at 132 pounds. Taylor Hubl placed 2nd to Brandon Price of Wichita County by a 4-3 decision at 285 pounds.


Maxwell

At 157 pounds, Owen Hessel placed 2nd to Rafe Hill of Arapahoe by fall in 3:32 and Jacob Leighton placed 3rd over Carrick McCorkle of Arapahoe by fall in 0:58. Cyrrus Messersmith placed 4th to Sage Bryan of Oberlin by fall in 3:35. Jaycob Young placed 4th to Traxton Maley of Trego by fall in 1:57.


Medicine Valley

At 138 pounds, Hunter Koetter fell in the consolation semi-finals to Eli Holle of Rawlings County in 1:55.


Paxton

At 190 pounds, Kenyon Florom fell to Kaiden Blill of Trego in the second round of the consolation bracket in 0:24.



Southern Valley

Braxton Hammond placed 1st at 120 pounds as he defeated Ashton Wynn of Trego by a 10-4 decision. Gabe Grove placed 4th at 190 pounds as he fell to Billy Marshall of Sutton in 0:37. Colby Noel placed 1st at 215 pounds as he defeated Trey Broeker who placed 2nd.


Southwest

Mitchel Stritt placed 1st at 126 pounds as he defeated Connor Hinrichs of Sutton by a 4-3 decision.


Wauneta-Palisade

Trey McCrumb placed 3rd at 175 pounds over Wyatt Seeman of Red Cloud/Blue Hill by fall in 1:23.

Girls Sub-District 4-A at Gothenburg 2/2

The RPAC girls wrestled at sub-districts for a chance to qualify for districts this week. Check out how the wrestlers did and who qualified for districts. These girls will wrestle in District 4 which is being held at Broken Bow on Friday.



Maxwell

At 110 pounds, Ceann McIntosh fell to Myia Hofaker of Minden in the quarterfinal round in 4:30 and in the first round of the consolation bracket fell to Sandra Velasquez of Lexington in 3:49 to end her season.


At 115 pounds, Bryanne Bayne fell to Jordan Williams of Grand Island in 0:19 and in the consolation semi-finals, Bayne fell to Cassandra Bernshause of Minden in 1:18 to end her season.


At 135 pounds, Rei Wood defeated Erin Coakley of Gering in the quarterfinals in 3:50 to advance to the semi-finals. Wood lost to Delilah Solis of Lexington by a 4-3 decision to move to the consolation semi-final matches where she defeated Emma Howerton of Gothenburg by fall in 4:10 to keep her season alive and advance to districts.


At 190 pounds, Makenzie Nelsen fell to McKenzie Furgison of Lexington in the quarterfinals in 1:56 and fell to Isabel Serrano of Minden in 1:18 in the consolation semifinals to end her season.


At 235 pounds, Hunter Morlan fell to Kayleigh Steinbeck of McCook in 0:13 in the quarterfinals and moved to the consolation bracket where she defeated Swaisen Mroczek of Gothenburg by fall in 0:43. In the consolation semi-finals, Morlan fell to Cheyenne Vahl of Minden in 1:23 to end her season.


Southern Valley

Hayley Serfontein defeated Nelly Hoche of Ainsworth in the quarterfinals by fall in 1:00. Kim Gonzalez of Grand Island defeated Serfontein by a 4-3 decision in the semi-finals to move to the consolation semi-finals where she defeated Ashely Grijalva of Lexington by fall in 2:26 to advance to districts.



Southwest

130, 170, 190, 235

At 130 pounds, Aubrie Seybold defeated Myka Peterson of Minden by fall in 4:37 in the quarterfinals, and in the semi-finals, she fell to Bella Arrants of Grand Island in 1:45. In the consolation semi-finals Seybold defeated Payton Peterson of Gothenburg by fall in 1:17 to advance to districts.


Ashlynn Latimer wrestled at 170 pounds and in the quarterfinal round, she defeated Bree Corey of Hi-Line by fall in 1:16 to advance to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Latimer fell to Hadlie Wolf of Lexington in 5:56 to move to the consolation semi-finals where she defeated Miranda Phares of Ainsworth by fall in 0:22 to advance to districts.


At 190 pounds, Madelyn Tryon defeated Emily Robinson of Hi-Line by fall in 0:22 to advance to the semi-finals where she defeated Isabel Serrano of Minden by fall in 3:17 to advance to districts.


At 235 pounds, Olivia Minary fell to Brythany Espino of Grand Island in 0:22 and moved to the consolation bracket. In the consolation semi-finals, Minary fell to Kayleigh Steinbeck of McCook in 0:26 to end her season.
