RPAC Wrestling Results as of 2/8

It was a big week, with wrestlers competing at the State Duals and girls competing in their respective districts. Congratulations to all the girls who finished up their seasons last week. The boys wrapped up their regular season schedule and will prepare for districts. Check out the boys district information at the end of the blog.

Alma

Girls

Alma competed in the B-2 District and placed 28th with 15 points. The Cardinals had no state qualifiers this year. At 145 pounds, Ava Dunse fell in the consolation semifinals as she went 2-2 on the day.


Boys

Alma attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 8th with 71 points.


Congratulations to Ian Dunse, who achieved his 100th career win!


Tayvian Sharp placed 1st at 120 pounds to go 3-0 on the day. At 126 pounds, Josh Russell placed 2nd, going 3-1 on the day. Ian Dunse placed 2nd at 138 pounds.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 2nd with 98.5 points.


At 106 pounds, Gavin Andrews placed 4th. Hayden Helms placed 3rd, and Wyatt Blickenstaff placed 4th at 120 pounds. At 132 pounds, Rigley McDonald placed 3rd, going 4-1 on the day. At 144 pounds, Briggs Hill placed 1st, winning by fall, going 3-0, and improving his record to 44-0. At 215 pounds, Trey Downey placed 3rd, going 4-1.


Bertrand

Girls

Bertrand competed in the B-2 District and placed 33rd. There were no qualifiers for the Vikings this season, as Reeselyn Mumm (145 pounds) and Yazmin Freese (190 pounds) both went 1-2.


Boys

Bertrand attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 13th with 34 points.


Brayden Evans placed 3rd at 190 pounds, going 4-1 on the day, picking up wins via fall and major decision. Evans improved to 16-7.


Cambridge

Cambridge attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 20th with 5.5 points.


Colton Perks picked up two wins, one by tech fall and the other by a 13-9 decision at 165 pounds.


The Trojans qualified for the NSAA State Dual Tournament on Saturday, which was held at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. Cambridge was the #6 seed in the tournament.


In their first dual, they faced #3 Shelby-Rising City and lost, 48-33.

  • At 126 pounds, Quinton Meyers defeated Joe Kornegay of SRC by a 12-5 decision.

  • Owen Krafka of SRC defeated Devan Rodriguez by fall in 2:41 at 138 pounds.

  • At 144 pounds, Logan Lindsley of SRC defeated Carter Shoemaker by fall in 1:20.

  • Micah Gerlach defeated Traven Reznicek of SRC by fall in 2:34.

  • At 165 pounds, Colton Perks defeated Carter Eickmeier of SRC by fall in 2:42.

  • Jett Vrbka of SRC defeated Sean Polly at 175 pounds.

  • At 190 pounds, Elijah Fjell of SRC defeated Myles Stanton by fall in 2:17.

  • Trev Burke defeated Clay Schueth of SRC by fall in 5:19 at 215 pounds.

  • At 285 pounds, Coy Vrbka of SRC defeated Angel Torres by fall in 0:17.


In the consolation semifinals against Central Valley, the Trojans fell 47-28.

  • At 126 pounds, Landen Poss of Central Valley defeated Quinton Meyers by fall in 1:04.

  • Lincoln Nekoliczak of Central Valley defeated Devan Rodriguez by fall in 0:52 at 138 pounds.

  • At 150 pounds, Landon Shoemaker of Central Valley defeated Carter Shoemaker by fall in 1:14.

  • Micah Gerlach defeated Ky Cargill of Central Valley by major decision, 11-3, at 157 pounds.

  • At 175 pounds, Tanner Schultz of Central Valley defeated Roy Hoelscher by fall in 1:36.

  • William Pokorny of Central Valley defeated Myles Stanton by tech fall at 190 pounds.

  • At 215 pounds, Ty Klein of Central Valley defeated Trev Burke by fall in 1:34.

  • Angel Torres defeated Colter Goodrich of Central Valley by fall in 1:53 at 285 pounds.

Dundy County Stratton

Girls

Dundy County Stratton competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 22nd with 11 points. There were no qualifiers for the Tigers. At 145 pounds, Kirah Baker fell in the consolation semifinals, going 2-2.


Boys

Dundy County Stratton attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 19th with 13 points.


Aiden Kane fell in the third round of the consolation brackets and went 2-2 on the day at 175 pounds.


Hi-Line

Girls

Hi-Line competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 31st. There were no qualifiers for Hi-Line this year. Charley Kerznar (110), Julea Moore (125), and Emily Robinson (190) all went 0-2.


Boys

Hi-Line attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 6th with 81 points.


Connor Edwards placed 2nd at 120 pounds, going 3-1 on the day, with wins by fall and tech fall, both under 90 seconds. At 126 pounds, Chase Beitler placed 3rd, going 3-1 with wins by fall and a 10-7 decision. Parker Schutz placed 3rd at 150 pounds, going 3-1 on the day.

Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 1st with 111 points.


At 165 pounds, Dylan Kollmorgan placed 1st, going 4-0 with wins via fall. Jaret Neben placed 4th at 175 pounds. At 190 pounds, Karson Hubl placed 2nd, going 2-1 on the day. Karson Shuler placed 1st at 215 pounds, improving his record to 42-3. At 285 pounds, Jayden Loghry placed 2nd, going 2-1.


Maxwell

Girls

Maxwell competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 14th with 24.5 points. At 120 pounds, Ceann McIntosh placed 2nd to qualify for state, going 3-1 on the weekend.


Boys

Maxwell attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 11th with 59 points.


At 113 pounds, Hunter Schaeffer placed 2nd. At 132 pounds, Ty Davis placed 2nd, going 3-1 on the day and winning by fall. Colt Gosnell placed 2nd at 215 pounds, going 2-1 on the day, falling to Karson Shuler of Hitchcock County. Gosnell is 22-5 on the year.


Medicine Valley

Medicine Valley attended the Southwest Invite on Friday. Dakota Douglass went 0-2 on the day at 120 pounds.

Paxton

Girls

Paxton competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 17th with 22 points. Skylar Johnson placed 2nd at 190 pounds, going 3-1 on the day and qualified for state.


Boys

Paxton attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 17th with 18 points.


Colton Fote placed 2nd at 165 pounds, going 2-1 on the day, and is now 16-6 on the year.


Southern Valley

Girls

Southern Valley/Arapahoe was in the B-1 District, which was hosted by Plainview on Friday and Saturday. They finished 5th as a team with 78.5 points.


At 100 pounds, Cali Santifer went 4-2 on the day, placing 4th and qualifying for state. Laney Becker placed 4th at 110 pounds, qualifying for state, going 3-2 on the day. Hayley Serfontein was the district champion at 115 pounds, going 3-0 and qualifying for state. Serfontein improves her record to 33-1. At 235 pounds, Elena Lee placed 3rd, going 3-1, which qualified her for the state tournament.


Boys

Southern Valley attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 11th with 59 points.


Bryton Stalder placed 2nd at 106 pounds, going 2-1. Sully Bantam placed 4th at 144 pounds. At 150 pounds, Prestin Horwart placed 2nd, going 3-1.

Southwest

Girls

Southwest competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 6th with 76 points.


Capri Sayer was the district champion at 100 pounds, going 4-0 with four falls, and improved her record to 42-4. At 115 pounds, Alyssa Koch placed 3rd and qualified for state, going 4-1 on the day. Madelyn Tryon was a district champion at 235 pounds, going 3-0, winning via fall, and improved to 45-3.


Boys

Southwest hosted their home invite on Friday and placed 15th with 21 points. Gage Hammond placed 4th at 157 pounds, going 2-2 on the day.


Sutherland

Girls

Sutherland competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 12th with 28 points.


Congratulations to Addison Arvdal on her 100th career win!


Arvdal earned the district champion title to qualify for state at 190 pounds, going 4-0 and improving to 39-0.


Boys

Sutherland attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 5th with 85.5 points.


Congratulations to Scotty Anderson, who achieved 150 career wins!


At 126 pounds, Ben Frame placed 1st, going 4-0 and improved to 37-3 on the year. Kale Martinez also placed 4th at 126 pounds. Scotty Anderson placed 1st at 138 pounds going 3-0 and improved his record to 39-5. Bowen Backer placed 2nd at 144 pounds, going 3-1, falling to Briggs Hill late in the match at 144 pounds. Keith Andersen placed 4th at 285 pounds.


Wauneta-Palisade

Girls

Wauneta-Palisade competed at the B-4 District at Ogallala and placed 28th with 9 points. There were no qualifiers for Wauneta-Palisade this year as Saviana Carrizales fell in the consolation semifinals at 105 pounds.


Boys

Wauneta-Palisade attended the Southwest Invite on Friday and placed 10th with 61 points.


At 138 pounds, Konner McCrumb placed 3rd, going 3-1. David Bryner placed 3rd at 175 pounds, going 4-1 on the day to improve to 39-3. At 190 pounds, Kreyton Wiese placed 1st, going 3-0 and improved 28-3.
