Seven RPAC Teams Compete at Dale Harsin Invite to Wrap Up the Regular Season



RPAC athletes had a great day fine-tuning their events in their final regular season meet to prepare for districts next week and hopefully, the state meet the next week. Seven RPAC teams were at the Dale Harsin Invite in Alma on Thursday. JoLie Farr of Cambridge and Zavier Mitchell of Alma were named the Dale Harsin Most Outstanding Female and Male Athletes with their performances.

In the 100m dash, Thunder Nelson of Bertrand placed 2nd with a time of 11.62, Zavier Mitchell of Alma placed 4th with a time of 11.77, and Nathan Rippe of Southwest placed 8th with a time of 12.23.


In the 200m dash, Tayten Koeppen of Cambridge placed 1st with a time of 23.64, Mitchel Stritt of Southwest placed 7th with a time of 24.28, and Brody Senff of Medicine Valley placed 8th with a time of 24.39.


In the 400m dash, Koeppen of Cambridge placed 1st with a time of 52.37, Kael Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 2nd with a time of 52.98, Stritt of Southwest placed 5th with a time of 54.26, Senff of Medicine Valley placed 6th with a time of 56.02, and Jakin Neal of Alma placed 7th with a time of 56.52.


In the 800m run, Wyatt Jackson of Cambridge placed 1st with a time of 2:12.21, Isaac Hamilton of Southern Valley placed 2nd with a time of 2:15.11, Jacob Barber of Southwest placed 4th with a time of 2:18.70, Carl Nordine of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 2:20.48, Thomas Magorian of Arapahoe placed 6th with a time of 2:24.59, Josiah Dowell of Southern Valley placed 7th with a time of 2:26.00, and Bladyn Herrick of Alma placed 8th with a time of 2:27.32.


In the 1600m run, Carson Trompke of Cambridge placed 1st with a time of 4:38.96, Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 2nd with a time of 4:41.79, Austin Thompson of Southwest placed 3rd with a time of 4:53.99, and Marcus Hernandez of Bertrand placed 7th with a time of 5:17.40.


In the 3200m run, Hernandez of Bertrand placed 2nd with a time of 10:51.70, Braden Sandfort of Cambridge placed 6th with a time of 11:54.68, Titus Goshert of Arapahoe placed 7th with a time of 12:13.64, and Davis Clark of Alma placed 8th with a time of 12:27.82.



In the 110m hurdles, Mitchell of Alma placed 1st with a time of 15.78, Trenton Roskop of Arapahoe placed 3rd with a time of 16.35, Nelson of Bertrand placed 4th with a time of 16.73, Kade Fisher of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 16.77, Landon Wilhelm of Alma placed 7th with a time of 19.05, and Isaac Hernandez of Bertrand placed 8th with a time of 19.78.

In the 300m hurdles, Mitchell of Alma placed 1st with a time of 41.82, Wilhelm of Alma placed 3rd with a time of 45.08, Roskop of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 45.64, Fisher of Arapahoe placed 6th with a time of 46.91, and Coleman Langford of Bertrand placed 7th with a time of 47.33.


In the 4x100m relay, Bertrand placed 1st with a time of 45.98 which was run by Eric Wood, Langford, Kayden Hatfield, and Nelson. Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 46.05 which was run by Brady Ahelemyer, Ben Hoberty, Krayton Ruggles, and Koeppen. Alma placed 6th with a time of 49.11 which was run by Zane Clark, Gavin Dunse, Neal, and Wilhelm. Medicine Valley placed 7th with a time of 49.72 which was run by Austin Roblee, Ethan Brown, Lucas Einspahr, and Louie Doyle. Southern Valley placed 8th with a time of 52.49 which was run by Tate Weatherwax, Gabe Grove, Same Bantam, and Tylor Grove.


In the 4x100m throwers relay, Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 52.03 which was run by Trev Burke, Ben Harris, Jaysek Weiss, and Hutner Perks. Alma placed 3rd with a time of 54.49 which was run by Jeremy Felix, Spencer Gehrig, Creighton Lynch, and Ryan Maly. Bertrand placed 4th with a time of 55.66 which was run by Gabriel Bojorquez, Creston Wagner, Kevin Chavez, and Nolan Edgren. Southwest placed 5th with a time of 55.80 which was run by Jason Day, Jakub Walz, Kade Schaffert, and Gage Hammond. Arapahoe placed 6th with a time of 57.10 which was run by Brandon Rascon-Salinas, Andres Castro, Jacen Smith, and Trey Downey. Southern Valley placed 7th with a time of 59.66 which was run by Sully Bantam, Kota Batt, G. Grove, and Weatherwax.


In the 4x400m relay, Medicine Valley placed 1st with a time of 3:41.93 which was run by Senff, Mason Roblee, Aiden Jones, and Garrett. Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 3:45.75 which was run by Jackson, Gavin Gunderson, Ruggles, and Hoberty. Alma placed 4th with a time of 3:50.80 which was run by Z. Clark, Dunse, Herrick, and Lynch. Arapahoe placed 6th with a time of 3:53.87 which was run by Hayden Sich, Fisher, Roskop, and Nordine.


In the 4x800m relay, Cambridge placed 1st with a time of 8:57.31 which was run by Jackson, Gunderson, Hoberty, and Trompke. Alma placed 2nd with a time of 9:25.08 which was run by D. Clark, Lynch, Herrick, and Z. Clark. Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 10:00.24 which was run by Goshert, Magorian, Hudson Sich, and Nordine.


In the shot put, Gehrig of Alma placed 2nd with a throw of 41'7.5", Downey of Arapahoe placed 4th with a throw of 38'8", Perks of Cambridge placed 5th with a throw of 38'3.5", Burke of Cambridge placed 6th with a throw of 38'2", G. Grove of Southern Valley placed 7th with a throw of 37'11", and Maly of Alma placed 8th with a throw of 37'6.5".


In the discus, Gehrig of Alma placed 2nd with a toss of 130'6", G. Grove of Southern Valley placed 3rd with a toss of 123'0", Maly of Alma placed 5th with a toss of 113'4", and Perks of Cambridge placed 8th with a toss of 108'7".


In high jump, Roskop of Arapahoe placed 1st with a jump of 6'0", Herrick of Alma placed 2nd with a jump of 5'10", M. Roblee of Medicine Valley tied for 3rd with a jump of 5'6", A. Roblee of Medicine Valley placed 5th with a jump of 5'2", Barber of Southwest placed 7th with a jump of 5'2", and Dawson Newcomb of Bertrand placed 8th with a jump of 5'0".

In pole vault, M. Hernandez of Bertrand placed 1st with a vault of 14'0", I. Hernandez of Bertrand placed 2nd with a vault of 13'0", Miles Ford of Alma placed 3rd with a vault of 11'6", Hammond of Southwest and Wood fo Bertrand tied for 4th with vaults of 11'6", Jones of Medicine Valley tied for 6th with a vault of 11'0", and Preston Howart of Southern Valley and Carter Hanes of Cambridge tied for 8th with a vault of 10'6".


In the long jump, Mitchell of Alma placed 1st with a jump of 20'10.75", Rippe of Southwest placed 3rd with a jump of 17'10.5", Williams of Southwest placed 4th with a jump of 17'6.75", Newcomb of Bertrand placed 5th with a jump of 17'4.5", Ruggles of Cambridge placed 6th with a jump of 17'4.25", and Langford of Bertrand placed 8th with a jump of 16'10".


In triple jump, Chase Vosler of Bertrand placed 1st with a jump of 39'0.25", Perks of Cambridge placed 2nd with a jump of 38'4.75", Hamilton of Southern Valley placed 5th with a jump of 36'2.25", Ruggles of Cambridge placed 6th with a jump of 36'0.5", and T. This meet wrapped up the regular season and teams are now preparing for their district meets next week. Arapahoe, Bertrand, Cambridge, Medicine Valley, Southern Valley, and Southwest are all in the D7 District hosted by Medicine Valley at McCook High School on Wednesday, May 8th.
