Southern Valley hosted seven RPAC teams on Friday afternoon for a track meet. A state record, pending certification, was set, and times on the track were fast. Check out the full recap blog.

In the 100-meter dash, Abi Spargo of DCS took 1st place with an impressive time of 12.45. Bristol Kubert of Hi-Line set a new school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.62, which placed her 2nd. Cali Santifer of Southern Valley placed 3rd with a time of 13.65, Kamree Elsten of Medicine Valley placed 4th with a time of 13.85, Alyssa Koch of Southwest placed 5th with a time of 14.06, Malia Brown of Bertrand placed 7th with a time of 14.89, and Lauren Quinn of Southern Valley placed 8th with a time of 14.90.
In the 200-meter dash, Clara Spargo of DCS placed 1st with a quick time of 26.09. Kubert of Hi-Line set another school record in this race, running 28.35 to place 2nd. Santifer of Southern Valley placed 3rd with a time of 28.56, Elsten of Medicine Valley placed 4th with a time of 30.47, Quinn of Southern Valley placed 6th with a time of 31.12, Avianna Williamson of Alma placed 7th with a time of 31.18, and Delaney Evans of Medicine Valley placed 8th with a time of 32.27.
In the 400-meter dash, Kamryn Scott of Alma placed 1st with a time of 64.40, Santifer of Southern Valley took 2nd with a time of 66.37, Kubert of Hi-Line placed 3rd with a time of 68.75, and Gracie Johns of Medicine Valley placed 5th with a time of 1:36.45.
In the 800-meter run, Scott of Alma placed 1st with a time of 2:44.41, Aysha Neal of Alma placed 2nd with a time of 2:47.36, Addison Lozo of Southern Valley placed 3rd with a time of 2:51.22, Olivia Wall placed 4th with a time of 2:54.00, Hadleigh Wasenius of Southern Valley placed 5th with a time of 3:09.47, Isabelle Exstrom of Hi-Line placed 6th with a time of 3:18.35, and Makenlee Thomas of Southwest placed 8th with a time of 4:13.79.
The 1600-meter run was a good race, with the winner determined at the finish line. Emily Schack of DCS took 1st with a time of 6:06.31, and Neal of Alma placed 2nd with a time of 6:06.62. Wall of Hi-Line placed 3rd and set a new school record with a time of 6:22.84. Ashlynn Edgren of Bertrand placed 4th with a time of 6:25.38, Lozo of Southern Valley placed 5th with a time of 6:39.24, and Misty Kliewer of Alma placed 8th with a time of 7:37.93.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Tierston Moore of Alma placed 1st with a time of 16.44, Ellyana Walkington of Southwest placed 2nd with a time of 17.61, Maryn Mintzmyer of Alma placed 3rd with a time of 17.98, Aspen Billeter of Southwest placed 4th with a time of 18.14, Brown of Bertrand placed 5th with a time of 19.64, and Kamri Neal of Alma placed 6th with a time of 20.67.
In the 300-meter hurdles, A. Spargo placed 1st with a time of 45.04, Moore of Alma placed 2nd with a time of 51.39, Billeter of Southwest placed 3rd with a time of 53.91, Walkington of Southwest placed 4th with a time of 56.09, Mintzmyer of Alma placed 5th with a time of 56.62, and K. Neal of Alma placed 6th with a time of 61.33.
In the 4x400-meter relay, there were just two teams competing. Alma took 1st with a time of 55.61, which was run by Vayden Epp, Mintzmyer, Moore, and K. Neal; and Medicine Valley placed 2nd with a time of 58.15, which was run by Evans, Elsten, Aspen Closman, and Zoe Trimble.
In the 4x400-meter relay, DCS took 1st place with a time of 4:33.41, which was run by AnnaLee Shapley, C. Spargo, Schack, and A. Spargo; and Medicine Valley placed 2nd with a time of 5:03.43, which was run by Trimble, Evans, Closman, and Jordiya Phillips.
In shot put, Kennedy Bailey of DCS placed 1st with a throw of 45'4.75", Tori Bose of Southern Valley placed 2nd with a personal best heave of 34'8", Johns of Medicine Valley placed 3rd with a throw of 28'10.25", Rylan Custard of Southwest placed 4th with a toss of 27'0", Charli Shaw of DCS placed 5th with a throw of 26'7", Natalie Koetter of Southwest placed 6th with a toss of 24'7.75", and Anna Hamilton of Southern Valley placed 7th with a throw of 24'5".
In discus, the Tigers went 1-2-3. Bailey of DCS had a nice throw of 147'6", just two inches off her personal best, to place 1st, Schack of DCS placed 2nd with a throw of 87'5", and Shaw of DCS placed 3rd with a toss of 75'7". Hamilton of Southern Valley placed 4th with a throw of 71'11, Natalie Neseth of Southwest placed 5th with a toss of 70'7", Koetter of Southwest placed 6th with a throw of 63'5", and Johns of Medicine Valley placed 8th with a throw of 60'10".
In high jump, Billeter of Southwest placed 1st with a jump of 5'2", Quinn of Southern Valley placed 2nd with a leap of 4'8", Haisley McQuiston of Southern Valley took 3rd place with a jump of 4'6", Closman of Medicine Valley placed 4th with a jump of 4'4", Edgren of Bertrand placed 5th with a leap of 4'4", and Payton Adams of Southern Valley took 6th with a hop of 4'0".
