Cambridge made the short drive to Arapahoe on Friday night. The Trojans took the match, 3-0, over the Warriors. There were numerous long rallies and hustle plays made by both teams throughout the match. Check out the blog for more!

In set one, it started off back and forth, with long rallies as they traded points, the score reading 4-4. The Trojans found a different gear and extended their lead to 13-6, forcing Arapahoe to call a timeout to regroup. Cambridge kept their foot on the gas and extended their lead to 19-11 to force the Warriors to call their final timeout. Cambridge went on to take set one 25-12.

Set two began nearly identically to the first set. Long rallies and scrappy plays forced the teams to trade points, resulting in a 4-4 score. Cambridge surged to take a 9-5 lead and was able to create a little more separation, 12-9, to force Arapahoe to call a timeout. The Trojans kept the pressure on, pulling away from the Warriors, 21-13, which prompted an Arapahoe timeout. Arapahoe responded out of the timeout as they made a little bit of a run, but it was Cambridge who went on to win set two, 25-19, and take the 2-0 lead.

In the final set, the Trojans jumped out early and never looked back. Cambridge took a 7-0 lead and forced Arapahoe to use a timeout early. The Warriors were able to string together some points, but the hole was just too deep as the Trojans led 17-8. Cambridge went on to win the third set, 25-10, and take the match 3-0.
