Two RPAC Golfers Take Home Medals at the NSAA State Golf Championships

On Thursday, May 28th, we had RPAC golfers continuing to compete at the NSAA State Golf Championships in both Class C & D. There were several golfers from the conference in medal contention. By the end of the day, two RPAC golfers came away with medals. Let’s check out the results.

Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers of DCS had two golfers, Owen Mathews and Dante Horner, who competed. Owen shot a 159 and finished T-42nd, and Dante shot a 157 and finished T-38th. A nice season for the Tigers.


We chatted with Owen and Dante after they finished up at State Golf.

Hitchcock County


The Falcons, as a team, finished with a 709 and in 7th place. Cale Graham shot a 190 and finished 69th. Brayden Melchert shot a 180 and finished T-50th. Grady Erickson shot a 191 and finished T-70th. Dylan Kollmorgen shot a 198 and finished T-85th.


Jack Baker secured another medal at state, shooting a 152 and finishing 4th. We caught up with him after he finished his round.



Sutherland


The Sutherland Sailors qualified as a team and shot a 763 and finished T-14th. Reid Dempcy shot a 191 and finished T-70th. Teagan Fitzpatrick finished with a 196 over two days and finished T-82nd. Easton Smith shot a 173 and placed T-32nd. Kaid Hogan shot a 203 and finished T-92nd. Scotty Anderson shot a 227 and finished 100th.

Cambridge


The Trojans as a team finished with a 757 and 13th place. Graham Shoemaker shot a two-day total of 195 and finished T-76th. Micah Gerlach finished with a 162 and placed 17th just outside of medaling. Hodge Raburn shot a 206 and finished 94th. Maverick Webb had a two-day total of 199 and finished T-87th. Carter Shoemaker had a two-day total of 202 and finished 91st.



Bertrand


Scott Bieker had a good day two, with a total of 160. He placed 16th, just outside the medals.


Wallace


The Wildcats had a pair of qualifiers. Tyson Sullivan shot a two-day score of 186. He finished T-64th. Micah Garrison shot a two-day total of 162 and finished 19th.

Paxton


Tristen Hebblethwaite shot a total of 187. He finished T-46th to finish his career.


Southwest


Southwest’s Houston Billeter shot a 157 and placed T-7th.


We had the chance to visit with Houston after he finished his round.



Southern Valley


Jace Hammond of Southern Valley shot a two-day total of 188. He finished 68th.
