WAUNETA-PALISADE FALL SEASON PREVIEW

Broncos Return Experience for 2022

For the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos, they look to be led by a good group of returning players from last years 16-14 team. They will be under the direction of first year Head Coach Sara Applegarth, who spent the last two years as an assistant to the program.

Applegarth mentions the experience they have coming back for 2022. "We have five returning starters, so we have lots of experience and game knowledge going into this year." One of those returners is Peyton Cox, who was a Second Team Conference selection with 273 kills, 13 aces, 43 blocks, and 166 digs a year ago.

The Broncos will begin the year on Thursday, August 25th at Hitchcock County.

Bronco Football Ready for 2022 Season

Following a 4-4 season last year, the Wauneta-Palisade Football team will look to be competitive as they return three starters on offense and two on defense. Seniors Michael Duvel and Kyle Jutten return both on offense and defense, and Jacksen Littrel returns on the offensive side.

Jutten had a big year last season with 117 carries, 769 yards, 10 touchdowns, and on the defensive side he had four sacks and six tackles for loss.

The Broncos will be led once again by Co-Head Coaches Randy Geier and Joesph Frecks. The Broncos will begin the season on Friday, August 26th
