BRONCOS HAVE YOUTHFUL GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD TEAM BUT ARE LOADED WITH POTENTIAL TALENT
Wauneta-Palisade has a small squad of 10 athletes with six of those being freshmen and sophomores. Head coach for the Broncos, Dawn Doetker, said that she is excited for this spring to see what the freshmen class can do. She has a wide variety of talent in the events and will provide a nice variety for the team.
Wauneta-Palisase will be returning one state qualifier in Peyton Cox in the shot put where she placed 7th last year.
Doetker is bringing in a solid freshmen group who had success in junior high last spring and she is looking forward to how they are all able to contribute this spring at the next level.
WAUNETA-PALISADE BOYS TRACK AND FIELD SQUAD MAY BE SMALL BUT VERY COMPETITIVE
The Broncos have a group of athletes that are going to be able to fill almost all the events this spring which is exciting for head coach, Dawn Doetker after she lost a good group to graduation. Doetker said that she has seen this group working really hard in practice and is competitive.
There are no returning state qualifiers for the boys but the six incoming freshmen are expected to have an impact.
Wauneta-Palisade will start their season at the Sutherland Invite on April 1st.
