WEEK 1 RPAC FOOTBALL RESULTS



It was an incredibly entertaining first week of high school football int he RPAC. Check out the graphic below with all the scores and some notes and highlights from the opening week.




  • In Maxwell's massive win over Morrill the Willdcats rushed for 241 yards as a team. Tyce Cumming led Maxwell with 59 yards and a score. they actually had 10 different ball carriers, and five different athletes score.


  • Wauneta-Palisade took care of business too with a 56-6 win over Banner County as the Broncos didn't require any passing yards to get the job done; 283 yards of offense, all of them on the ground. Kyle Jutten led the way with 98 yards, two touchdowns, on just three carries. Jacksen Littrel was 6-7 on PAT's.


  • In a rematch from the Class D6 semifinals, Wallace fell to Cody-Gilgore. Carson Glunz was great with 148 yards rushing and three scores. "I am proud of our guys for battling the entire game. We kept fighting back whenever we got down," said Head Coach Eric Miller.


  • When looking at Arapahoe's victory over Arcadia-Loup City and the box score you may scratch your head. Arcadia-Loup City out gained Arapahoe 336 to 248, but four lost fumbles and an opportunistic Warrior team led to a nice win. Will Shaw had 128 yards and a score for Arapahoe. Trenton Roskop added 48 yards and a touchdown.


  • In Paxton's loss to Hay Springs, the Tigers out-gained their opponents, but with four interceptions it was tough to bounce back. Wyatt Walker had 83 yards and a score for Paxton.


  • In the RPAC Rundown Game of the Week, Bertrand won 34-0 over Overton. Bertrand dominated the stat column with 368 yards of total offense and averaged six yards per play. Bertrand had 340 yards on the ground as a team and were led by Owen Kaps with 184 yards and three scores. Kaps was 7-11 with 28 yards passing too.


  • The Southwest Roughriders were a bit of a sleeping giant it felt like with the number of returning starters. Well, they didn't disappoint in their win as Nathan Rippe was 5-10 passing with 132 yards and four touchdowns in their big win over South Platte.


  • Cambridge went to North Platte to battle the Irish in week one and even though they lost they found some success on offense. Kohan Grindle had a huge game with 258 all-purpose yards and Four touchdowns.
