Maxwell-St. Pat's competed in District play this past week. They entered district play with a 2-7 record, including wins against Sedgwick County back in March, and then, on April 28th, they beat Centennial by a final score of 8-1. There were three RPAC teams competing at the state tournament: Maywood-Hayes Center and Arapahoe in Class D1 and Dundy County Stratton in D2. On Friday, March 6th, 2026, the #1 in Class D2 played #5 Archangels Catholic in the NSAA Girls State Basketball Semifinals. This matchup was played in the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The Tigers came away victorious, winning big, 45-25 to head to the Class D2 NSAA Girls State Basketball Championship Game. Scoring was hard to come by in the first quarter, but the Tigers led 8-4 heading to the second period. DCS forced turnovers, got some easy layups, and their defense was tough.
