Cambridge Boys and Girls Earn Team Titles at Medicine Valley Track Invite

Medicine Valley hosted their invite on Thursday at Cambridge. Seven RPAC teams were in attendance: Arapahoe, Cambridge, Hitchcock County, Maywood-Hayes Center, Medicine Valley, Southwest, and Wauneta-Palisade. The weather was great for much of the day, but about halfway through the day, the wind started picking up. Check out the results from the day here!

In the 200-meter dash, Will Cacy of Arapahoe placed 1st with new school record time of 22.76, Brady Ahlemeyer of Cambridge placed 2nd with a time of 23.82, Hubl of Hitchcock County placed 4th with a time of 24.04, David Bryner of Wauneta-Palisade placed 5th with a time of 24.40, Aiden Jones of Medicine Valley placed 6th with a time of 24.55, Wiese of Wauneta-Palisade placed 7th with a time of 24.95, and Steven Werkmeister of MHC placed 8th with a time of 24.99.



In the 400-meter dash, Cacy of Arapahoe placed 1st with a time of 51.68, Kael Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 2nd with a time of 55.02, Ahlemyer of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 56.34, Gavin Gunderson of Cambridge placed 4th with a time of 56.86, Kameran McCrumb of Wauneta-Palisade placed 7th with a time of 60.21, and Trevan Rundle of Hitchcock County placed 8th with a time of 60.77.


In the 800-meter run, Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 1st with a time of 2:05.53, Jayce Hauxwell of Hitchcock County placed 2nd with a time of 2:11.41, Gunderson of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 2:13.05, Russell Norton of Cambridge placed 4th with a time of 2:19.39, Trenton Roskop of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 2:27.89, and Rundle of Hithcock County placed 7th with a time of 2:34.51.

Medicine Valley will attend the Midwest Nebraska Track Classic on Tuesday, 4/22, and the Hitchcock County Invitational on Wednesday, 4/23. Arapahoe will host the Jim Mather Invite on Wednesday, 4/23, and Cambridge will also attend that invite. Hitchcock County will host their invite on Wednesday, 4/23, with Southwest and Wauneta-Palisade also in attendance. MHC will attend the Mike Troxel invite in Hershey on 4/26.
