In the Fast Lane: DCS, Maxwell, Paxton, and Wallace Compete at Competitive Sutherland Invite on Friday


It was a tough meet with great competition in both the field events and on the track. Dundy County Stratton, Maxwell, Paxton, and Wallace competed at the Sutherland Invite on Friday so let's jump right into the results.

In the 100m dash, Laken Wissink of DCS placed 4th with a time of 11.48 and Jackson Kerchal of DCS placed 6th with a time of 11.55.


In the 200m dash, Kerchal of DCS placed 2nd with a time of 23.28.


In the 400m dash, Jesse Reyes of Maxwell placed 4th with a time of 52.69.


In the 800m run, Max Hansen of Wallace placed 4th with a time of 2:13.04.


In the 110m hurdles, Kevin Garcia Guzman of DCS placed 4th with a time of 16.43.


In the 300m hurdles, Garcia Guzman of DCS placed 2nd with a time of 43.00.

In the 4x100m relay, DCS placed 4th with a time of 46.00 and was run by Wissink, Blaine Aldridge, Garcia Guzman, and Kerchal. Paxton Placed 5th with a time of 46.52 and was run by Joe Eakins, Maddex McConnell, Gunnar Foster, and Wyatt Walker. Maxwell placed 6th with a time of 46.71 and was run by Colt Gosnell, Jacob Leighton, Trenton Miller, and Reyes.


In the 4x400m relay, Maxwell placed 3rd with a time of 3:46.31 and was run by Gosnell, Leighton, Reyes, and Miller.


In shot put, Brock Bailey of DCS placed 1st with a throw of 53'10.25".


In high jump, Kerchal of DCS placed 1st with a jump of 6'0".



In long jump, Noah Zoltenko of DCS placed 4th with a jump of 19'10.25" and Leighton of Maxwell placed 8th with a jump of 18'9.75".


In triple jump, Miller of Maxwell placed 6th with a jump of 38'9".

In the 100m dash, Kendyl Flaming of Wallace placed 2nd with a time of 13.12, Kayana Riley of DCS placed 3rd with a time of 13.19, and Jocelyn Cheek of Maxwell placed 6th with a time of 13.37.


In the 200m dash, Riley of DCS placed 6th with a time of 29.04, Maddison Gartrell of Wallace placed 7th with a time of 29.16, and Nikkia Dickau of Wallace placed 8th with a time of 29.67.


In the 400m dash, Clara Spargo of DCS placed 2nd with a new school record time of 59.12 and Gartrell of Wallace placed 5th with a time of 65.19.


In the 800m run, Ryleigh Hanson of Wallace placed 5th with a time of 2:39.70, Ella Fote of Paxton placed 7th with a time of 2:47.74 and Natalie Jorgensen of Paxton placed 8th with a time of 2:48.50.


In the 1600m run, Ashley Robertson of Wallace placed 2nd with a time of 5:56.57, Kaley Sauser of Wallace placed 4th with a time of 6:00.27, and Jorgensen of Paxton placed 8th with a time of 6:34.08.


In the 3200m run, Robertson of Wallace placed 1st with a time of 13:02.66, Dajana Garrison of Wallace placed 2nd with a time of 13:33.19, Jorgensen of Paxton placed 3rd with a time of 13:40.94, Elliana Robertson of Wallace placed 5th with a time of 14:15.23, and Keilah Curtis of Maxwell placed 8th with a time of 15:13.95.


In the 100m hurdles, Flaming of Wallace placed 1st with a time of 15.89.


In the 300m hurdles, Flaming of Wallace placed 3rd with a time of 50.21.


In the 4x100m relay, Maxwell placed 4th with a time of 54.97 and was run by Cheek, Kristyn Cheek, CeAnn McIntosh, and Emory Christensen. Wallace placed 7th with a time of 59.00 and was run by Reagan Pelster, Esmeralda Aceves-Lopez, Mallory McConnell, and Finley.


In the 4x400m relay, Wallace placed 3rd with a time of 4:25.64 and was run by Mariana Aceves-Lopez, Garrison, Hanson, and Flaming. Maxwell placed 6th with a time of 4:44.42 and was run by K. Cheek, J. Cheek, McIntosh, and Jenna Miller.



In the 4x800m relay, Wallace placed 2nd with a time of 10:26.84 and was run by A. Robertson, Garrison, Hanson, and Sauser. Maxwell placed 5th with a time of 11:50.50 and was run by Madelyn Nelson, Madelyn Flock, Curtis, and Tori Quick.


In the shot put, Audrey Holm of Paxton placed 1st with a throw of 36'5.25", Kennedy Bailey of DCS placed 2nd with a throw of 35'4.25", Reece Glinn of Paxton placed 3rd with a throw of 34'8.75", and Emmalee Nicholson of Paxton placed 5th with a throw of 33'1.25".


In discus, Holm of Paxton placed 1st with a toss of 120'4", Glinn of Paxton placed 2nd with a toss of 118'1", and Bailey of DCS placed 3rd with a toss of 110'7".


In high jump, Jordan Clouse of Paxton placed 1st with a jump of 5'0" and McConnell of Wallace placed 6th with a jump of 4'8".


In pole vault, Jaleigh Hansen of Paxton placed 2nd with a vault of 8'6".


In long jump, Finley of Wallace placed 5th with a jump of 14'9.25" and Quick of Maxwell placed 8th with a jump of 13'11.5".


In triple jump, Emory Christensen of Maxwell placed 7th with a jump of 28'10.5".


Dundy County Stratton and Maxwell will be back in action on Tuesday as they will attend the Chase County Invite. Wallace is back on the track Tuesday as well but they will attend the Midwest Track Classic at Gothenburg. Paxton will host their home track meet on Thursday.
